It does what it says. Seamless plug-n-play without installation (at least on my Windows PC). If you have old files on floppy disks and decided to retrieve them, it is a good practical solution. It seems quite sturdy. It may freeze your computer in an endless process if you try to shut it down while it is plugged in. In this case, as soon as you remove it, the computer will shut down and will not have any issues upon reopening (at least in my case it did not show any).
