Useful only for everyday items that are within Bluetooth range to notify you of their location immediately (e.g. keys) or vice versa, with a double press on the button to notify you of the location of your phone. It also alerts you if it moves away and goes out of range. That's it! The map function is to show you the last location where the disconnection occurred, for example where your keys fell. That's where the mark remains on the map. If someone finds them and takes them elsewhere, it does not show it on the map, meaning it does not have live tracking for you to search for it, or at least I did not find how this works (if it works). AirTags (or similar products) will notify you of the new mark if someone with an iPhone passes by the lost item.
