Overall, it's fine.. it does everything as it should.. it has quite a few options. The only issue, like with almost all these devices, is that the bowl is not that big for the number of people it is supposed to serve..
I gave it as a gift.. and I even tried fries and I thought they were fried.. wrong... PERFECT guys.. just.. experiment with times, quantities and recipes..
I bought a Philips Airfryer hoping to enjoy a healthier cooking alternative, but my experience was far from satisfactory. After just 1.5 years of mild use, I have encountered significant problems that have tarnished my opinion of this product and the company.
Firstly, the most concerning issue is the appearance of rust both in the basket and at the bottom of the base. For a household appliance that is quite expensive, this is unacceptable. The rust not only raises concerns about the long-term durability and resilience of the Airfryer, but also raises questions about the safety and hygiene of the food cooked in it.
Despite following all the care and maintenance instructions diligently, the rust appeared and has gradually worsened. This faulty nature indicates either a design flaw or the use of inferior materials, both of which are unforgivable for a brand like Philips, known for its high-quality household appliances.
Furthermore, the customer service of Philips as well as the authorized service center they referred me to essentially blamed me and refused any offer of product replacement or refund. Their response was disappointing, leaving me with a problematic appliance and a lot of disappointment.
In summary, I cannot recommend the Philips Airfryer. What seemed like a promising addition to my kitchen has become a source of disappointment and concern. Potential buyers should seriously consider the durability and customer service aspect before deciding on this product.
Personally, I will not purchase anything from this brand again.
First of all, very good construction, it is sturdy and made of high-quality plastic.
Secondly, the 6.2L initially seemed small to us, but don't worry, it comfortably fits 2kg of minced meat for burgers.
The quality of the bucket is very good, after years of using an older one from the same company with a smaller bucket, it will not discolor internally, so your food is definitely cooked in a healthy environment.
That was the main reason why I chose Philips.
Finally, it would be beneficial to preheat it, as it has a specific program for that, then your meals will be cooked even faster.
The only negative is that if you have very long nails, then you won't be able to press the button to remove the grill from the bucket.
After this purchase, many things changed in my house, it's the best thing I have bought in the last few years. In 10-20 minutes, you have a ready meal. It cleans very easily with hot water and can be put in the dishwasher. It has cooking programs, but I don't use them. I set it to 200 degrees and check it every 5-7 minutes to have control over the cooking.
Apart from perfect food, it also saves electricity and time!
Now I will only open the kitchen oven for large pizzas and fish
Everything else in the Airfryer (except pots)
The best purchase ever
The fryer was purchased because someone we knew had spoken highly of it. Along the way, my wife fell in love with it and consequently, so did I, because: it cooks healthily with very little oil, it quickly prepares meals, especially fish and meat, making them juicy and delicious. It is very convenient for 2 people and visits, about 4 to 5 in total, due to its size. It does not consume electricity, we have forgotten about the oven and the microwave. It has recipes that you can find, the programs it has in its memory make it very easy to use, it is very easy to clean with the steps mentioned in the instructions. I would not change it for anything now, it cooks everything perfectly, potatoes, chicken, steak, burgers, vegetables, and many many more.. I recommend it without any hesitation!!
Purchased during a discount period for 199 euros for a family of 3 with the need for 5 in case of a guest. The main thing is that it is very easy to operate, in addition to the 8 pre-set programs on the screen for quick recipes. Through the application, which works properly and does not have any problems as I saw in many comments, there is a plethora of recipes either for frying as it is purchased, or with the use of extra accessories. Precooked potatoes were ready and crispy in 25 minutes with three shakes throughout the cooking time, as you can see in the photo. The package also includes a grill with four metal skewers. Overall, it requires some research, while there is material circulating on the internet and after some testing, I think you will be satisfied.

The only negative thing is that using the extra cooking basket, which comes into contact with the metal base of the main basket, has damaged the surface, resulting in the need for replacement for hygiene reasons since the surface is non-stick.
Very good fryer, I have made everything from bread to salmon. As soon as we got it, we completely got rid of the microwave oven, as even for reheating cold food it has much better results, while also maintaining the texture of the food. For fried potatoes, it takes a little practice and testing at the beginning until you reach "almost" the same result as with a frying pan.
It appears to be a high-quality construction. I understood that it requires several attempts to find the ideal result. For example, with potatoes, it is necessary to shake them in the middle of the cooking time because they come out baked on one side... Generally, you need to explore it for each food. There is a lot of material on the internet. It is recommended for frying without oil and without odors...
I got it on Black Friday for 140€. It is a really user-friendly device. Currently, I use it mostly for cooking meat, chicken, etc. It cooks in record time compared to the oven. One day, I even made a cake. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't perfect either. The potatoes turn out perfect and the vegetables, when thinly sliced, are crispy and well-cooked in large quantities. It is very easy to clean, just soak it a little. Overall, I am very satisfied
After a lot of searching, I ended up with this particular device. I didn't regret it for a moment. Very good build quality. If you are up to 2 people, you will forget about the oven. Great time savings, perfect baking. The only annoying thing is the way you choose the baking program, it needs to be fixed. Overall, very satisfied
Fried potatoes, fresh. One hour frying with a tablespoon of olive oil. Approximately 2.3kg the potatoes in the picture. The best investment made after the old deep fryer broke. It takes a little time to learn it like all new devices.
Very good device that solves your hands. It easily replaces the basic oven if you are a few people at home. It is satisfying for 2 people, that is. It bakes well without a doubt. I have nothing to say that many have not already mentioned. Two somewhat negative points are its volume and the fact that the icons you choose for your program are not pressed. You press another button with three lines and it moves the selection. Very silly.
I have had it for almost 2 weeks. I bought it for 139 euros and it is perfect. Potatoes, chicken nuggets, gyros, steaks, even ribs... everything turned out perfect and then everything went in the dishwasher. A grill rack is missing to save time sometimes. If someone finds one, please let me know. I couldn't find it even in Philips accessories.
Amazing choice!!! Tasty potatoes with minimal oil.. Juicy chicken with crispy skin and cooked perfectly to the bone.. Just got it and haven't tried it in many dishes yet.. We were completely satisfied.. The basket is quite good in size..
We have had it for about 1 month, it does what it promises. Potatoes are wonderful and without any oil. Chicken drumsticks are juicy despite being cooked in the "air". It has a great variety of nuggets and other pre-cooked products. The Phillips recipe app gives you plenty of ideas.
In a few months, with very careful use and cleaning, the inner basket lost its non-stick coating, specifically on the cross that protrudes by 1 millimeter.
Update: The dealership replaced the basket under warranty, but after 6 months (I emphasize, with very careful use), the same problem appeared on the new basket. The coating is starting to peel off on the inner cross that protrudes. We're going for another air fryer, unfortunately.
If you search on well-known foreign sites, you will often see the same problem with this specific model; it is obviously a material failure.
21 X 22 (diagonal = 25 cm) are the useful internal dimensions. The maximum allowed height is up to 9 cm.
Remember that it is normally for only one layer of any food.
However, it can fit a typical 500+ gram fish with the tail cut off, which is why I preferred it over smaller ones.
In general, the potatoes have nothing to do with the fried ones and in general it makes the food average (with minimal oil, though, 1 to 2 tablespoons at most).
It is not advisable to put many potatoes, or you will have to mix them 5-6 times to prevent them from browning on one side and remaining half-cooked elsewhere.
Personally, even with fried potatoes, I mix them a lot because I save on oil and only use it twice.
The wings are satisfactory with no oil, the fish is average but acceptable.

If you know what this type of fryer does, you know why you bought it and it's great. We preferred this size in case we have a guest. For example, potatoes take 30 minutes to cook, which is not tragic, but in case the basket was not enough and I had to do it again, it would take an hour. Also, everyone says it's better not to fill it up. Finally, with the larger size, you get a lot more food that you can prepare. It is quiet and does not release steam, so you can have it anywhere you want on the counter. Imagine the food is something between fried and oven-baked. If someone buys it because they think the food will be tastier, they should get it. Let the one who understands that it will be almost as good but with one-fifth of the calories buy it.
A one-kilogram chicken with a few baby potatoes takes about an hour. I expected it to be faster and the result to be crispier. I think it is expensive for what it offers. For a little more money, you can buy a regular oven and have various cooking options. The capacity is borderline for three people, not to mention that the food disappears as it essentially dehydrates with the air. It's not what I expected. It's probably more useful for defrosting, dehydrating, and drying food rather than for baking.
