    The alarm works well.
    You can use it even without the alarm.

    After the first rain, it stopped opening.
    I had to apply silicone spray to open it.

    Now I apply it regularly, especially if water falls on it.

    You can also use PTFE OIL or some other lubricant for plastic or mechanical parts.
