The switching is done from the keyboard. The button for the switch is set from the software. The software runs automatically when you connect it (you can see it at the bottom right in Windows). I have had this product for 3-4 years, but I think I would have preferred to get one that changes with its own button.

Very good device. I use it at work where I work simultaneously on Windows and Mac, and it has been very helpful for me. It transfers all the IO from one computer to the other (Keyboard, Mouse, etc.). The 3 ports it has on top are extra USB hubs. The switch when the mouse reaches the edge of the screen is not very convenient. Personally, I use the Alt + S shortcut provided to switch between computers.

I bought it and put it aside. It doesn't have a toggle button and it doesn't work for me. Maybe both computers need to be on the same network, but I can't find that written anywhere either.

Incorrect description. There is no button for switching. Insufficient instructions.
