I have had it for 3 weeks on Sony A6300. It's early, but so far I have seen incredible results. I went ahead and purchased it after seeing reviews and videos where they said the best things.
The lens was mounted on the Sony ZV-10.
As an amateur, this lens allows me to take professional photos that surprised me.
The autofocus works flawlessly and very quietly.
The f/1.4 saves crop cameras in low light conditions, no more high ISO and grain in photos.
Very good sharpness, especially in the f/4 to f/8 range, the photos are crystal clear.
For those who are in a dilemma of which one to choose first from the Sigma trio, the 30mm is the best choice in my opinion, it didn't limit me anywhere (we're talking about portrait and portrait with a little landscape).
The lens is excellent. It has a wonderful bokeh due to the f/1.4 and the autofocus is amazing. The colors are very accurate. The result is sharp and if you put it in a lightroom and play a little, then you achieve a photo that you hardly believe the lens cost ~300 euros. Remember that because it is a crop, we are essentially talking about a 45mm focal length. It is ideal for all-around use. You can take portraits and urban shoots with this camera. I haven't tried landscapes yet to see if the lens will be good or if I would prefer a wider angle than 45mm. Finally, buy it! It's worth it!
I have been using it for a few years now for videos with the Sony a6500 on a gimbal, and the lens is excellent. It has a very nice image quality, sharpness, and it is very fast. Perhaps the best you can buy for this price.
Whoever is considering making the purchase but is delaying because they are afraid or for any other reason, they should buy it yesterday!! Compared to the basic lens that everyone starts with, it is simply day and night. It may not have the zoom, but this F 1.4 is incredible, plus the focus it has. Even in the video with the A6000, which doesn't have subject tracking or a touch screen, the focus it achieves is unbelievable!! It elevates the camera to another level.
Very fast, sharp, works flawlessly with the amazing autofocus of the Sony A6400. Not recommended for landscapes as the crop sensor is already slightly "zoomed in", so in combination with the 30mm lens, the frame is quite narrow
Simply wonderful. Although I use it for amateur purposes, I believe it would also make you look professional. Since I like to take a photo and then edit and analyze it in Lightroom, I see how good the clarity is compared to other lenses (cheaper ones or the Kit lens) and it gives me the impression that I have more megapixels in the camera. In other words, when I zoom in on the same photo I took with the Sigma 30mm and compare it to a cheaper lens or the Kit lens at the same mm, I get much better results without compromising the image. It's also amazing in terms of colors, although at f1.4 it produces a slight pink-purple outline on the focused objects, but this can easily be removed with any image editing software. Also, if you plan on buying all three lenses in the EOS M series, I would recommend starting with the 30mm because at this focal length you can do everything (portraits, street photography, landscape, and many more) and have a lot of flexibility. You will definitely enjoy it, whether you are an amateur or just starting out in photography like me, you will see how much more upgraded your results will be. And lastly, I want to mention the build quality, which is excellent and the lens is sturdy.
At 350, it is a very good lens with excellent construction quality and sharpness clearly better choice than the more expensive Canon efm 32mm. I have been very satisfied and I highly recommend it. Next purchase is the 16mm to complete the lens package
Awesome lens. I attached it to my Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III and it feels like I bought a new camera. Very sharp without distortions, fast focus, excellent image quality, and perfect for night photography. Exceptional bokeh
Amazing lens, I have enjoyed taking photos with it. Its small size has been convenient for me, I put it in my bag and always have it with me along with my Sony a6300.
Very good lens. Sigma = sharpness. It is a must-have lens. I got it second-hand, but a new one now costs about 300 euros. For that money, it's hard to find a 30mm 1.4. I would only replace it with the Sigma 16mm 1.4 from the same series
Whatever the BEST you can get for this money for the Sony 6xxx series. Very sharp lens and very reliable. It will make your life a little difficult in auto focus because it is not as fast as a Sony lens. But for this money and with an aperture of 1.4, if there is something better, let me know so I can buy it too. Great value for what it offers!
The best all-around use for its money and for the 30mm for the a6xxx series of Sony.
Incredible sharpness and surprisingly good autofocus, it loses a bit in low light.
It is the sharpest lens I have tried so far, even compared to the Sony 50mm for e-mount. Its only downside might be a little chromatic aberration at the edges. The lens has greatly improved the quality of my photos and is permanently attached to the camera, leaving the kit lens on the side.
