I ended up with this one after years of searching for sunscreens, because I have combination to oily skin and sensitive eyes, and really nothing suits me. Now I buy it regularly
It spreads easily, absorbs easily, and leaves a nice feeling. It requires continuous application, creating concern for me as the amount contained in the tube in relation to the cost of the cream does not seem proportional.
I bought it for its ingredients. To not clog my pores and cause breakouts but also not be "harmful". I didn't like it at all, it doesn't spread easily, it makes my face shiny and sticky, and of course, the next day I have breakouts.
Since I bought it for the first time, I was saved! It is the only sunscreen that sits so nicely on my sensitive skin. With the others, my skin easily developed acne.
I used it constantly until they changed its formula and now it doesn't suit me at all. It provides satisfactory sun protection, but it leaves a greasy feeling and is quite heavy on the face. It absorbs easily and leaves a matte finish but in a short period of time it becomes greasy.

My skin is oily with acne-prone tendencies and unfortunately, it did not suit me at all. It is heavy, does not absorb and it gives me intense oiliness in a very short period of time. It also stings if it comes into contact with the eyes.

I have a fair and combination-normal skin. I wear it daily after my day cream. It is not overly liquid, but it spreads and absorbs easily. I like that it doesn't have a matte finish and doesn't dry out the skin. Its only drawback is that it has a slightly yellow color, which, although not visible on the skin, creates difficult yellow stains on white clothes. It was the second time I bought it, but I am still searching for one that doesn't create stains.
I have been buying the Cleanance facial sunscreen from Avene (the bottle with the pump) for several years and this year it was replaced with this specific one. I considered it to be the best facial sunscreen available for oily skin: it didn't cause acne, it was invisible, it had a matte finish that lasted, it didn't sting the eyes with sweat, and it provided long-lasting protection. In short, you applied it in the morning, had UV protection, and not only was it invisible, but it also kept the face free from oiliness (and acne) until the afternoon. Ideal for men and for use in the city.
Now, regarding its replacement:
Positives:
- The bottle with the pump was changed to a classic tube for environmental reasons.
- The texture became creamier, making application easier.
- It doesn't leave a white cast, so it will be invisible even on darker skin tones.
- It is quickly absorbed by the skin.
- It doesn't sting the eyes.
- It doesn't cause acne or blackheads, and it seems to improve existing related issues.
Negatives:
- The bottle with the pump was changed to a classic tube, but it became less practical as it is harder to control the amount dispensed.
- The final result is not matte, it leaves a slight shine, so you can't call it invisible.
- It doesn't regulate oiliness at all. The slight shine it leaves after 2 hours becomes intense oiliness, which worsens as time goes by. I wonder why it is marketed for oily skin.
I don't want to wear sunscreen in the morning and have everyone see that there is something shiny on my face during the day!
Unfortunately, I will only use this sunscreen at the beach, where oiliness doesn't bother me much. I have already ordered facial sunscreen from another well-known brand, hoping it has the qualities that the previous Avene one had.
Update (about a year later). I am increasing my rating by 2 stars because I gave the sunscreen to my daughter (she has acne-prone skin) and it really soothes and controls mild to moderate acne with daily use. Additionally, the (slight) tint it contains makes existing pimples less visible. It provides very good sun protection and lasts. My daughter loves it, and I bought it for her again.
I would like it a little more matte. Overall, it is good and I have an issue with acne, but this has not caused any problems for me. Also, I have sensitive eyes and this does not sting at all
Apart from this version, I also use the classic dry touch. This one, compared to the other, leaves much less white residue but has an equally good feeling on the skin as it is lightweight and fully absorbed without leaving any greasiness. I consider the scent unnecessary. Having acne-prone and relatively oily skin, I am completely satisfied.
