Very good, it's worth the money! I have grilled with others as well. I use the side burner for frying too, but with a special pan for gas stoves. Cleaning is relatively easy and quick with a spatula and a wire brush! I also got the set with the cast iron cookware from Maddox, it's perfect! It requires some familiarity with cooking to achieve what you want. ⚠️Warning, do not leave aluminum foil with accumulated grease from previous cookings in the grease collection tray, as it will catch fire! Let me start with the packaging box. It fits in all medium and large cars with the back seats folded down. I mention this because I was worried if it would fit in my car. A second person will be useful for loading and unloading.
Everything is well organized and carefully packaged.
The unboxing took me about fifteen minutes. The assembly was very easy with the very good instructions and it took about two hours. With a beer, the process becomes even more enjoyable.
Without any previous experience with gas grills, I lit it up cautiously after reading many interesting things on the internet. I let it burn at full power for about 30 minutes and then I put some steaks and burgers on. The burners were set to the minimum because they are very powerful and the result was perfect.
I haven't tried the side burner yet.
The meat didn't stick to the grates, even though I had read that initially the cast iron sticks.
Afterwards, I easily cleaned the drip tray with the grease, as I had lined it with aluminum foil to avoid scrubbing. I scrubbed the grates after doing a burn-off, coated them with vegetable oil, and everything was fine.

I bought the Maddox 4.1 8 months ago (February 2023), so I have several months of experience using it. For the money I bought it (330 euros on sale), there is no better option.
Assembly
It will take at least 2 hours, some parts are quite heavy and you may need help, but the assembly instructions are EXCELLENT in detail and with all the steps in the correct order. You will get tired, but the result will reward you.Gas
It is important that there is a special compartment on the floor to place the gas cylinder. The Coral Gas Prime fits easily and is an ideal choice for safety and convenience (snap-on regulator, so no tools are needed). I even suggest not getting the classic pressure regulator with the integrated indicator, as the indicator refers to the pressure of the cylinder and not the capacity (which you can simply measure by weighing the cylinder, empty is 6kg, full is 16kg). The best option is the variable pressure regulator (here: [link]) with adjustable pressure from 20-70mbar.
There is also a strap that ties around the cylinder inside the grill cabinet. The grill comes with its own regulator (which I did not use since I installed the snap-on for Coral) and a hose (which I used).First use
I recommend applying a light oiling on the internal surfaces and then lighting it for 10-15 minutes to burn off any cleaners, residues, etc. Oil the cast iron grill grate as well, to prevent rusting.Performance
EXCELLENT performance and very good build quality. It can easily reach temperatures of up to 350°C, and even higher with the variable pressure regulator mentioned above. The double-walled lid also helps.
The side burner is amazing. I use it constantly not only for searing but also for cooking meat. Specifically, I place a cast iron plate and after turning it on full blast for 3-4 minutes (with the temperature on the plate reaching over 300 degrees), I then lower it to the lowest setting and cook the meat on the plate.
In general, I have grilled everything, from vegetables to whole chicken (incredibly juicy using a chicken base and beer), red meat, bread, and pizza. Photos with today's pizza result, something that came after countless failed attempts (where usually the bottom would either burn or the crust wouldn't cook properly around the edges). Pizza on the BBQ requires specific technique and I achieved this result with a square cast iron plate on one side of the BBQ, with the 2 burners on low after the plate reaches around 350°C, and the other burners fully open, while above the burners and the cast iron plate I placed a stainless steel baking sheet 60x40 cm supported by 2 firebricks to trap the temperature in the upper part.
The baking sheet is here: [link]. The result is literally like it came out of a wood-fired pizza oven. With this setup and a little play with the burners, you will have incredible results.In general, you need to experiment a bit with the power of the burners, as they are much stronger than you usually need. I recommend getting cast iron cookware (long or square plate), these are utensils that will last a lifetime and you can cook everything on them.

I have the Maddox 4.1. First experience with a gas grill and cast iron grate. It is very powerful, reaching 300 degrees in ten minutes on full heat and continues to rise. The first time I had the best beef. The plasma eye for meat searing really works wonders! All meat enthusiasts know that beef can be a bit tough. It was the first time I had beef and it was tender! Overall, it requires caution with its gas because it is very powerful. My pork, on the other hand, dried out a bit. It takes 2 to 3 grilling sessions to learn the timing and intensity. As for cleaning and maintenance now. I am compulsive and I did a regular general cleaning after the first grilling. Pay great attention to the sponges used and the chemicals as mentioned in the manual. Finally, the cast iron grate is a separate tool and requires different maintenance. Special cleaning brush, no soap, just plain water for rinsing and lastly, very important, it needs to be oiled with a brush for storage. Don't forget to get the cover for outdoor use! Also, don't forget that it easily accommodates a rotisserie, a special base for chicken, a special base for pizza, and many other accessories. My review of the purchase is 4.1. I got it for 360 if you calculate the return from Eurobank. First impressions, I can say that it has nothing to envy from the expensive ones that my friends have, which cost over 1,000 €. Incredible build quality for this price range.
Cast iron grill, three powerful burners, side burner for frying potatoes, vegetables, etc. cabinet with space for a 10kg gas bottle plus additional storage space next to it, wheels with brakes. It has a socket for a spit for kebabs.
