I don't have an opinion on the level of protection yet..the strap is a very good idea, it seems to be of very good quality and there is a huge variety of alternative colors and designs.
The only negative thing is that the material collects lint, dust, and small particles, but fortunately only on the outside..on the inside, after a few days, it is still perfectly clean. We will see how it goes in the future
