  I previously had the type of heater in the photo, which had a metal plate and heated very well. However, the resistance burned out with use, so not finding another one at 220 volts, I fell into the USB category, which is a failure. Recently, through Skroutz, I found the heater under review. It takes up a slightly larger space on my desk compared to the old one. It has a shorter power cable, so it needs an extension cord. The surface under which the resistance is located has started to turn brown (burn) from the first use. There is no On/Off switch on the side, as the English-written brochure says, only the weight switch underneath. This means that, in order to avoid the possibility of accidental activation, in case you touch something on it, it is good to unplug the power cord from the socket, as also stated in the instruction manual. For all the aforementioned reasons, I am not giving it the 5th star. The positive thing is that at 110 volts it keeps the liquid in the cup warm, while at 220 volts it heats it up too much, as if you just took it out of the fire, which is why I give it 4 stars. I would buy it again and I would recommend it to friends. A very economical purchase.

  16/5/22. I am coming back to write that the first one I bought in January, within five months, burned out with minimal use. Fortunately, they accepted its immediate replacement

  Strong in terms of heating, completely satisfied. However, the upper transparent plastic has already been scorched from the first use, having a brownish color. The switch at the bottom works with weight, and it is not easily pressed when the cup starts to empty. I had to stick a small piece of thin cardboard, and it works much better. Additionally, mine was missing a foot, which is okay, but it shows that the construction is not particularly well-made
