I had an AMAZING washing machine from AEG (L85275XFL) which I bought through Skroutz, but after 10 years it burned out the inverter board and (unacceptable for a company with the name AEG) there was no spare part available!
I decided to buy this one because I wanted again a stainless steel front and the space I had (along with the door opening) was exactly 104cm. The old AEG had a depth of 52cm and the door opened fully exactly in the space I had. The LG is supposed to have a depth of only 47cm - BUT it has almost no empty space behind. As a result, when the water supply and drainage hoses are connected, and with the larger door (but not with a particularly large loading opening), the entire door cannot open!
Additionally, it does NOT give you the option to add 1-4 extra rinses at the end of the program from the start, resulting in clothes often coming out with soap residue.
Finally, it retains water in the door hose after washing.
Beautiful, but ultimately neither very tidy nor particularly practical.

It excels in terms of beauty and functionality. For example, you can put all your clothes in one wash and stop the machine before the spin cycle to remove something more delicate, or you can adjust the spin speed. However, in terms of washing, it's not that great. The black glass makes it difficult to see inside in relation to the foam. The clothes come out without a distinct scent, but the washing machine itself has a smell. I started using a water softener and noticed a slight difference. I also add fabric softener after the initial water is drawn because I initially thought that by adding water to the pre-wash compartment, it also adds fabric softener. It has gotten stuck 2-3 times in 5 minutes when I put in large items (such as a pillow or rugs). It seems to be trying to turn the drum but fails. It's like spinning in the air. In the next similar wash, it finished normally. This problem only seems to affect bulky items that I put in the machine using a program different from the one for duvets, which lasts 1.30 hours. I connected it to the app and ran the diagnosis, which found everything to be working perfectly. I also expected to find an additional program, perhaps related to steam as promised by a salesperson, but it simply offers manual program options, such as a program for jeans, which is just a 20-degree program with a specific spin cycle. I'm not sure how convenient the remote function is because the washing machine already has a delay. Maybe it's useful for checking when the washing will finish. The instructions say to clean the drum every 30 washes, which is a 2-hour program. In the app programs, you can also choose a shorter drum cleaning option. I think it would be the same if you just did a wash at 90 degrees. It's quiet up to 800 RPM. Above that, it not only makes noise but also makes you fear it might explode. Unfortunately, for the 47 cm size I wanted, it was almost impossible to find. The positive aspect is that I got a promotional offer of +3 years warranty from LG when I purchased it.

I generally have LG products and I am satisfied, unfortunately I cannot say the same for this washing machine. In a short time, I will complete 2 years of operation and overall I am not satisfied. When you put a blanket or a mattress for washing, it never stacks properly, it can spin for hours stuck in the same minutes and you try to see where to put it to spin. I have taken out clothes many times and hung them wet... STAY AWAY. As for the 8.5 kilograms, no way.

I bought the washing machine 2 days ago because I had an LG and it broke down. All the new washing machines accept few kilos in the short programs, this one finishes the wash normally, it just might be delayed. The big programs that accept almost all the kilos last for hours, I'm telling you this because I did extensive research and regret selling the old one. Based on the good reviews, I bought this washing machine and I regretted it a lot! For someone like me who believes that "detail makes the difference," this one disappointed me. Before, I had a Bosch. I regretted it so much... The saleswoman convinced me that the drum with cells is better than the classic one that Bosch has, NOT!!! The washing results are very poor. It doesn't even remove sweat and, on top of that, it damages the clothes. It ruined two expensive t-shirts with prints, it faded them! The blame is, of course, mine for listening to this goat and not getting the Bosch, which is guaranteed and no one has ever complained about this brand. And the Bosch was 200 euros cheaper. Don't listen to the talk about drums with cells and other things, they don't offer the washing quality that the classic drums with holes offer. Tested! I should have paid attention and gotten the Bosch that I knew for 15 years how it washed clothes. But as I said before, I was deceived by the saleswoman who, among other things, also said that Bosch and Siemens no longer have the quality they used to have. Of course, she wanted to sell the LG because it cost 600 euros while the Bosch cost 459, it was more profitable for the store! I should have paid attention...

AWAY. My new one has gotten stuck 3 times out of the 5 times I've washed. It gets stuck 16 or 6 minutes before the end and continues endlessly to rotate the drum back and forth without progressing to the next stage. It has done this with both a few clothes and many clothes on the turbowash 59. I don't know what it does in the other programs, but it is unacceptable to start a 59-minute program and come back after 3 hours to find it still endlessly rotating!! You have to press pause/start or stop/force rinse manually to get it unstuck. With the price of electricity today, having the washing machine work non-stop is simply UNACCEPTABLE. I am waiting for service to come and see it, but I have already heard excuses like it can only handle a lot of weight in the cotton program, otherwise it gets stuck and other delicate excuses. I would generally avoid LG after such an experience. I hope the problem is found and fixed because I am very afraid that there is a design problem in the brain or in a sensor that is not easy to find.

Very good washing machine, with comfortable clothes capacity in small dimensions! It seems to have good construction quality, it is sturdy and doesn't move at all because the front legs have suction cups (and I have a shiny tile on the floor, which doesn't help), and it doesn't need a washing machine base because it doesn't keep it stable. We bought this specific washing machine for supposed upgrade and the conclusion is that we didn't upgrade but downgraded... everything is almost fine until it reaches high speeds in both washing and spinning... there is a battle, a war happening there... I tried for a long time and with a lot of adjustments to stop the shaking and the noise but in vain... even the drum seems to touch something at some point and you think you will have everything under control... If you have less than 55 centimeters depth, then this washing machine is the way to go, otherwise there are top-loading washers that I don't prefer.
ATTENTION: the 47 centimeters depth it mentions is without the door and without the hoses at the back.As for the noise, it is generally quiet except for the moment it pours water into the detergent, the first five minutes, it makes quite a noise, when it spins at 1,200 revolutions per minute it is quieter.
The clothes are washed very well and come out dry.
An important advantage is that the washing machine does not have a belt.
Also, the upgrade cycle that has a default program for rinsing and spinning, there one can load any program they want through the internet.
8.5 kilograms is the maximum load of clothes in the cotton program, while in other programs it is 4 kilograms (you should know that this happens in all washing machines, meaning a 10-kilo washing machine only washes up to 5.5 kilograms in some programs).The only negative thing for now is that the option for dryers to be placed on top is limited to this depth.
