When there is a lot of noise in the area where your interlocutor is located and you have difficulty hearing them, you can reduce the background noise to make their voice clearer by simply pressing the special button.
During a power outage, you can supply the base unit with the electrical energy stored in the handset, allowing you to make calls for a certain period of time while the outage lasts.
You can block annoying calls from unwanted numbers. The numbers on your blocked call list will be blocked (the device will not transmit any sound to the caller and will disconnect the call) if they call you.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
We've had this phone for 2-3 weeks now and I'm very satisfied with this purchase so far.
- It has backlit buttons and a screen that ends the call when you press the button.
- The letters are large and all easily readable.
- You can store 120 phone numbers in the phonebook and 10 in speed dial.
- It has many languages in the menu, including Greek.
- You can write in Greek characters in the phonebook.
- It has a black list to store numbers you don't want to be called by, as long as there is no other phone that doesn't have this feature (because the phone will ring from there).
- It has a button for speakerphone that works perfectly and with great volume.
- It has a button that you press and you won't be heard in case you want to say something to someone who is in your space and you don't want to be heard (mute).
- It has around 30 or 40 ringtones.
- The call volume is a bit low. Is it because of the music I chose? Possibly, if I chose one of the classic ringtones (like "ring-ring") it would sound loud. I will check it sometime.
- The battery lasts at least 4 days (with the usage we do at least).
- It has an eco button that you press and the emission is reduced while it works perfectly.
- It has another button that when you press it, it reduces the noise that is heard from your interlocutor's environment. However, I haven't used it yet.
- It has a "night mode" in which (when you activate it) the phone goes silent. It is for the night when someone is sleeping so that the ringing sound is not heard, while all unanswered calls are saved. You can set it to automatically enter every day for as many hours as you want and to return.
- The menu is easy and I wonder how some people had trouble with the comments I read. I found everything easily just by digging into it, because the instructions were in German.
Here I would like to thank those who took the trouble and uploaded the instructions that are available on the internet in Greek. I also attach the link, since my comment is the most recent. https://www.electroholic.gr/files/Manual/KX-TG6811.pdf
- It has a button on the base of the device to find the phone in case you don't know where it is.
- And with a prolonged press of the button that ends the call, the device shuts down completely and with the same button it turns on again.
The only thing I regret is not getting the one with 2 devices (one central base and 2 phones).
I will write some things because I read many comments about this specific item, but despite that, I bought it, and I experienced the same things as some people said here.
So, I bought it for 34.30 and it is an imported landline phone with a GB serial ending, which probably means it came from Great Britain (maybe). When I opened it, to my disappointment, it had a foreign OTE cable inside, so I had to buy an extra OTE cable for 1€ to make it work. Also, the batteries were not genuine, they were trade ones with 550 mAh (while other Panasonic landline phones I had bought had batteries with the Panasonic brand written on them). I have attached a photo of the highpower brand batteries that were inside it.
I bought it on 4/8/21 noon and when I opened it, it required a 7-hour charge. On the same day, I put it to charge at night, and it had a full charge with 4 lines on the landline phone. Now, on 7/8/21, it has three lines, which means it lasted for two and a half days with phone use of 1-2 calls per day, lasting 5 minutes max each, because it is in a holiday home (specifically, the calls were food orders). So, you can understand that the batteries are not very good, so I will probably invest 5€ more to buy other batteries.
As for the plastic and construction, it seems fine for the money I paid, but I don't know how durable it is, as I have only had it for a few days. I will provide an update later.
If you are in a place with music or noise, or you are on a balcony, you may not hear the ringtone, but you can hear the other person fine. The speaker is relatively satisfactory. When I activated the landline phone, the first thing it showed me was to choose a language, so I didn't have the problems that some others had with finding the menu and languages. Changing the language is easy and fast, and you can write in Greek with the echo. One more clarification: I went to other stores and saw similar items two weeks before I bought it, and they all had security tape, but mine didn't. However, it didn't look tampered with, it seemed like no one had touched it, it just didn't have security tape. So, if you buy something like this, check it first. I didn't see it because I was in a hurry, and I noticed it later. So, 34.30 + 1 + 5€, maybe I could have gotten something else.
I have had it for a month, it seems to have a sturdy construction, if I have any problems along the way, I will return with a new comment
I sent this particular phone back because it did not notify me of low battery level. I was informed that the supplier stated it does not have a low battery notification... it seems very strange to me as I have never seen a Panasonic phone without a notification. Even the cheapest models have it.
I believe it was defective and they did not take responsibility.
(In communication with Panasonic, they told me that if their phones do not notify, it is a motherboard issue, so to speak, and it cannot be fixed...)
Panasonic's net worth! I don't need to say anything else. Excellent quality and reliability as always.
Good overall but the call recognition doesn't always work and it's inconvenient when I'm away from home
It lasted 3 years. The screen turns off every time I take it out of the dock. Until then, it worked satisfactorily. I don't think it was worth the money.
Update 01/19/2025
In the end, the batteries had leaked fluid and it wasn't making good contact. +2 stars because it's a quality phone.
The most significant negative is the low ringing volume. At maximum, it is average compared to other models. The screen has a blue light, while the keyboard is yellow. When it is on the base, the ringing is only heard from the handset and not from the base.
I have had it for 4 years now and I am completely satisfied. I don't have anything special to say, it's a simple landline phone that does its job. Personally, I have used it maybe less than 10 times.
This particular phone does not meet the specifications of Greece, as the clip of the connection cable is different from those used in Greece.
The ringtone volume is not loud. Also, the sound is disappointing in open listening. Otherwise, it's still fine.
Very good device, user-friendly menu (also in Greek). Backlit keyboard and screen are a plus! I recommend it.
Sometimes you get what you pay for, other times you get less... This is one of those cases. It was purchased 4.5 years ago, fully accepting all its flaws due to its low price. The only requirement was for it to last a few years since its usage would be minimal. Unfortunately, it didn't even last 5 years and I wonder how long it would have lasted if I used it more than once a month...
In the positives, I will generally mention the entire phone along with its low price.
In the negatives, the sound is not as loud as in previous wireless devices I had, and it does not have Greek characters on the keyboard.
I haven't had it for more than 5 months. Various people were writing about the sound and indeed I knew it because I had Panasonic before, but I have never seen such a bad quality. First of all, as soon as you lift it, you have to put it on speakerphone, but even with that, it is difficult to hear the other person, especially if you are in a busy place. Now, in the 5th month, it makes a crackling sound when I speak, resulting in me telling people to hold on, I will call them from my mobile. It deserves 1 star and that's being generous.
There is no worse purchase after a while the batteries go off and it didn't show any indication for charging the worst part is that the signal dropped during calls.

Everything is fine, guys, but there is a flaw. I set it with the new time and every time I put it in the database for charging, it takes the old time. Come on, let winter come so it can show the correct time. I even set it two hours ahead to trick it, but it doesn't notice. Every time I put it in its base, it goes back to winter time. Even if you set it forty hours ahead, it still goes wherever it wants. This damn thing is driving me crazy.
It has been in our possession since October '21.
So, overall, it's a very good phone. You can hear and be heard perfectly fine, the battery lasts, and the call blocking feature is useful for numbers you don't want to receive calls from. If I had to find a negative, it would definitely be that the keys don't lock, so if a child gets hold of it, you could end up with a hefty phone bill.
It delivers what it promises - the buttons are pressed with a strong and clear sound.
It came with a cable for America and not for Greece. It is very light without being fake. The sound is great and the battery lasts a long time. Of course, I have had it for less than a month.
Nice phone and I am very satisfied with it in the 6 months that I have had it. The only issue it has is that it claims to be able to work without power (in case of a power outage), which is not true because if it is connected to a router line (like most home phones), when there is a power outage it is isolated anyway due to the router, so it is completely invalid. However, I don't know what happens without a router!! I mean if what it claims is true.
The chat sound is very good, the screen lighting is also good, the range is excellent, the noise reduction button is also very useful and so far these are its positives.
2. Although the menu is simple, it is relatively difficult to use, the battery does not last as long as the manufacturer claims, I have not measured how much but it is definitely much less, the build quality is average, it gives you the impression that it will break into pieces if it falls, but the most unacceptable thing is the call volume, I mean, it's not audible at all without exaggeration, you need silence to hear it. I would not buy it again for sure, although I have been completely satisfied with this particular company from previous purchases, but I was swayed by the many good reviews.
The battery barely lasts a day, the ringtone is very low, and the speaker is one of the worst I've encountered. A very bad purchase.
I bought it for home use, it has menus in Greek, 40 ringtone options with adjustable volume, name storage in Greek with large font, very good volume on the receiver which can be adjusted, speakerphone, and overall user-friendly menu. Great value for just under €40 that it cost me.
It has many good things (I consider it the best), but it also has two bad things... firstly, it doesn't display the date and time of outgoing calls, and secondly, when you type in the number of a saved contact, it doesn't show you the name.
First of all, those who say that it doesn't have a strong sound either don't know how to increase the volume or don't know how to choose an even stronger sound from the menu, or both! The ringtone is so loud that I had to lower the volume by 1 or 2 levels! It's the loudest volume I've ever had, even on mobile phones. That's why I insist that they didn't know how to use the device. Also, with GP 950 mAh batteries, it lasted over a week without charging. I literally forgot when I had last charged it...
My mom used to wear out even Panasonic phones within 2 to 3 years at most. This model has already lasted almost triple that time! It's relatively easy to use and, in combination with the Greek menu, can be easily used even by elderly people.
From other brands I've tried, I wasn't as satisfied as I am with Panasonic.
P.S. For batteries, I recommend GP Recyko+ 950 mAh, they were by far the best, or at least Energizer 800 mAh.
10+ years in my pharmacy, two devices for the two lines. I needed to buy replacement shells for my headsets as the letters had faded in 8 years. Panasonic provides shells for €7. The battery problem is solved by purchasing Panasonic's eneloop, a set of four for two pairs of headsets , and the charging time is greatly increased. No more problems. With all this, I'm approaching my 12th year and hooray!
I have had it in the store for four years and it broke now due to many falls. I naturally got the same device again since it is very good especially for its price. I also got the same one for my parents... There is also the parent company if you need any spare parts or have any questions.
I have it for a few days. Everything is fine, as expected. However, there are two negatives in relation to my requirements. I have it in a professional space, and the ringtone volume is not strong enough! Also, because I use speed dial, unfortunately it only works on keys 1...6 (previous Panasonic, on all keys 1...9)! P.S. Another disadvantage is that it only stores one number in each contact. So after quite a bit of use, I rate it with 3 stars (out of 4 before).
I am on the 3rd one and was going to upgrade to the 4th, but I got tired of changing it every 2 years due to the well-known battery problem (everything magically stops working after the warranty expires) and the price doubled.
It has been working without any issues for 2.5 years. The battery could have been better, but no other problems.
The phone is very good, it has a large bright screen with big letters that show you the time and date when it's on standby. It shows your recent calls with the name, phone number, date, and time of the incoming and outgoing calls. The keyboard also lights up. It has a speakerphone function, call blocking for unwanted calls, and a Greek menu and letters. This is the second one I've bought, I had the first one for years but the screen broke when it fell, even though it still worked fine for a year. I didn't have any issues when the battery started to drain or when it had interference, I just replaced the batteries with "good" ones, not cheap ones, which lasted a long time with many hours of talk time per day and worked perfectly fine.
