The Panda 2-person Pop Up tent sets up in no time, very easily even for a beginner. It features a waterproof fabric made of polyester and a door with a mosquito net to protect you from insects.

The frame made of fiberglass is a common choice for the construction of camping tents. It is a lightweight and durable material, made from fiberglass fibers that are usually coated with polyester to protect them from water and moisture.

What does the feature Polyester 190T mean?

It is an indicator for comparing the durability of two fabrics made from the same material

T means Thread which refers to fiber, and the number reveals the sum of the vertical and horizontal fibers in a square inch of fabric (see photo). The larger the Thread, the denser the weave and the greater the durability of the fabric.

What does the waterproof rating on camping tents indicate?

The waterproofing of a tent indicates how much water its outer fabric can repel. It is measured in millimeters (mm) and refers to how many millimeters of a vertical water column (and thus pressure) a square centimeter of fabric can withstand without being penetrated by water.

The higher the waterproofing rating, the less breathable the fabric is, and thus the warmer the tent. Common waterproofing values range from 500mm to 10,000mm. Theoretically, any fabric with waterproofing >1000mm is considered waterproof. For example, a summer tent may have waterproofing from 500 to 1500mm.

I bought this specific one because it sets up on its own. The day I used it for the first time, it rained all night and it turned into a lake inside, even though the rain was light. Without extra fabric, nylon or tarp to cover it, it doesn't hold up. It is purely for summer use. Folding it was quite difficult because the more you fold it, the more difficult it becomes, even though it seems like a simple task. Overall, for its price, it is a good choice.

Excellent in its category!
It made us look good for a week of freedom, for 2 people. Very easy to set up, cool (as it has windows in the front and back) and very good against the wind. The only downside is its size when folded, which has a quite large diameter to be carried on a motorcycle or for backpackers. For those traveling by car and have no space issue, it is ideal.
