I hadn't noticed it and it was an issue for me because it barely fit on my balcony. I easily bypassed it because I placed this fixed piece at the back and it is open in the front. It reaches temperature quickly, turns off and then just maintains on low heat. In the end, you get what you pay for. Overall, it is value for money.
