Goodnight Punpun, Vol. 2 is the coming-of-age story of Punpun Onodera. His parents are going through a crisis in their relationship. His father goes to prison and his mother goes to the hospital. He is forced to live with his unsuccessful uncle. He has a crush on a girl who belongs to a strange cult. Punpun tries to talk to God about his problems, but God is rude. Punpun hopes things will get better, but in reality, nothing positive is happening.
