Value for money device for mid-range machines and that's because its sound is indeed very analytical but very dry and sterilized at least for my taste. Compared to the Audio Alchemy DDE v3 set with Logitech Squeezebox Touch, it loses quite a bit. To somewhat improve the situation, it will need an interconnect cable with volume and a very warm sound. That's it.

What do we have here? A DAC that elevates the sound of the computer or phone. I had a continuous twenty-day listening experience with all genres of music. The Bluetooth connection is the icing on the cake. Beautiful, small with enormous sound (given its price, of course). The lows and highs are full, both being sufficiently detailed and never fatiguing. The mids are wonderful with a hint of warmth, perhaps slightly forward. One thing is for sure, it opens up your appetite for continuous listening. When combined with a neutral and analytical speaker, it delivers incredible sound that you wouldn't expect from a machine at this price. You can also play around with speaker cables. It's impressive how much the sound changes from a very cheap cable compared to a reputable one. I noticed an improvement in the lows when I powered it with a well-known power strip from another company that I had in my main system (of course, the power strip is 150 euros more expensive than the machine itself). But with careful power supply (especially in grounding), it will tighten the low-end punch a little more. One thing is for sure, it wins you over with the first playback and of course, its price. Of course, an important factor is also how I have learned to listen. To each their own.
