A war began when Paris, the prince of Troy, fell in love with the beautiful Helen, the wife of Menelaus, the king of Sparta. With the invaluable help of the goddess Aphrodite, he managed to persuade her to follow him to his homeland. Then, led by Agamemnon, Menelaus' brother, the Greeks launched a campaign against the Trojans. 

The war lasted ten years and caused losses on both sides. Brave heroes such as Achilles, Hector, and Patroclus took part in fierce battles. To bring an end to the conflict, the cunning Odysseus ordered the construction of the Trojan Horse, a huge wooden horse in which the most capable Greek warriors hid inside. The Trojans were deceived, accepted the gift, and brought it within the walls of their city, unaware that they were leading it to its destruction.

The Trojan War went down in history as the greatest of antiquity, and its cause was none other than a woman, the beautiful Helen.
