Whatever I say about this tablet is not enough, I use it daily now for my work mainly for browsing, editing Word and Excel documents, and printing invoices. It is incredibly fast with a very good battery life and an amazing screen. I have replaced the use of a laptop thanks to this beast here. I also recommend buying the official Xiaomi keyboard.
I have to say one of the worst tablets I have bought, because it experiences some strange issues, although it is good for gaming, it doesn't handle all games. But recently, in the past week, while playing specific games, it just shuts down completely and restarts, making me start everything from the beginning, and I have lost valuable accounts in games that were worth a lot of money, and sometimes it freezes. And it's not that good
I bought this product for work purposes, mainly for reading e-books, writing texts, and teleconferencing, as it is often difficult to do something similar over the phone or computer (especially when you need to move around). I was very satisfied because it is fast, does not easily distract you (it does not have a sim card), has a huge storage space, and its screen is very clear. It does not strain your eyes, has a special reading mode, and especially when used with apps like Moon Reader and similar ones, you can read for a long time without getting tired. Personally, I compare it to e-book readers as it is comfortable and has color (useful for diagrams, images, etc., but also for writing texts where you need to insert images, etc.). I got it in combination with a keyboard case and stylus, and it is like a portable computer (I would say it is superior to many laptop models I have tried). It detects them without any problem. It is value for money. Although I haven't used games, I believe it can handle them easily. I highly recommend it, especially for those who are torn between an e-book reader and a tablet (even for more expensive e-reader models like Boox, Onyx, etc.). I would recommend applying a protective glass to it.
5 stars because it is value for money. I mainly use it for note-taking along with the pen that I bought separately from the dealership, for movies, and for browsing.
The memory and processor are more than enough. The operating system has continuous upgrades but some minor bugs that downgrade the user experience.
The screen has average quality in my opinion, but the sound is excellent. The disadvantages also include the lack of a fingerprint that would be very convenient for locking and unlocking.
The camera is generally average, but good for a tablet. Overall, after 2 months of use, I am very satisfied. There is no competition for this price with good pen functionality, and with the specs and updates, it is future-proof for a few years and won't bother me.
"I bought it for 300 euros. I've had it for almost 2 years. It's the only money that hasn't been wasted on frivolous things. It's worth every penny I've spent. It's super fast and has never let me down. I use it all day, every day."
For the money I paid (250€), it's very honest and there's nothing else in this category with similar features. At the current price, I don't think it's worth it as it's relatively old. Overall, though, it doesn't lag behind in anything and its battery lasts for several days with normal use.
It is very good for the money I paid when it first came out 1.5 years ago, the tablet was 400 euros, very fast with very good resolution, but what has amazed me is its battery life. I use it a lot and the battery lasts 4 days, and at first, it lasted even longer, it would drain 1% in 25-30 minutes. The only downside is that sometimes it freezes on Android
Amazing battery life of 2 full days of use
Amazing 120hz screen, vivid and lively
Processor works flawlessly, everything happens quickly, no lag in games or apps
Amazing for watching movies, TV shows, and Netflix, plays everything in 4K
Camera is decent for clear video calls, not meant for taking photos
Amazing keyboard, instantly attaches with magnets and Bluetooth connection, a bit pricey but worth it for protection and convenience
Why this instead of an iPad? Because you can do everything on this device, unlike an iPad where you can't even watch a movie without connecting it to a computer and transferring files like photos and videos.
I have two, one at home and one at work. I got them for around 335 and they are value for money.
I wanted it for reading to prepare for some certifications and it pleasantly surprised me. Restful screen, with special settings for reading and clarity.
Occasionally I use it for a video meeting with zoom and it's very good. I can hear the speakers while browsing with PiP of the video in a corner.
It has split screen now, in the latest version, clearly if it had vanilla android it would be better in this and other areas (eg it doesn't have multiple users), but it works quite well. It is activated from the list of open apps with a long press on an app.
Connect it to the universal android debloater to get rid of the junk and Xiaomi apps and put whatever you want and it will become a little better, without losing warranty or automatic updates.
I have had it for 1 year. It has an amazing screen. It is fast and never freezes. The sound is okay. The only negative is that I have the Samsung S9+ and as an operating system and extra functions in the software, Samsung is 10 years ahead. If you want screen splits and other such functions, it has nothing. The pen costs 100 euros, the camera is fake. For games and videos that I use it for, it is flawless. The battery lasts at least 2 days with full use. For its price, it is fair. I bought it for 500 euros.
I have had this particular tablet in my possession for 3 months now, coming from an iPad gen 8... The specific effort from Xiaomi offers amazing hardware that is not utilized due to the software, which I consider to be the biggest disadvantage of this device.
Compared to the iPad, we have a much better screen, with better resolution and of course 120hz, which as I mentioned, the software with lags ruins the experience... In terms of battery, it lags behind the iPad without being bad... I forget to charge it and the use I give it is like a secondary device, mainly for video streaming, social media and browsing, while rarely for games that it performs excellently since its processor is a beast... As for cameras, expect tablet cameras, capable for simple use... Nothing better, nothing worse... Its best feature, however, I consider to be its speakers... With Dolby Atmos 2 speakers on top and 2 on the bottom, it manages to give better results than many Bluetooth speakers... Regarding its software, efforts have been made to bring MUI to the tablet, giving you the feeling that you are actually using such a device, while many of its elements resemble those of iOS on the iPad I had.
In conclusion, we have an incredible device, capable of every use, with only the issue of its software that Xiaomi generally has, without being a particular problem. Due to its screen and speakers, it is ideal for movies and videos. A device that will not disappoint anyone.
P.S. It is also important to know that it does not have GPS and SIM/SD slot.
A very good and reliable device, quite fast and trustworthy. It's worth mentioning that many games do not support 120hz, and if they do, the resolution will drop significantly. (This happens because the game needs to run at the corresponding 120fps, which is not easy, especially for a tablet in this price range.) What I want to say is that it's a very good proposition for its price and it's worth checking out.
I received the tablet yesterday and I am extremely satisfied! I got the one with 256 memory and after loading everything I wanted, I still have 190gb left. I would prefer to have a memory card, but since I don't have one, 256 is great. The sound is amazing. The only issue I have is with the stylus, it keeps disconnecting and sometimes when I try to reconnect it, it doesn't work. I have to close the Bluetooth, open it again, take out the stylus, and reconnect it. It takes a bit more effort than I thought. Overall, my opinion is very positive!
I gave 305 euros and still consider it too much, because the tablet's interface is half as good as the versions on mobiles with MIUI. Firstly, it doesn't support Themes, a big downside for someone coming from a Xiaomi mobile with MIUI and the theme it already has presents problems since when the mode changes automatically from bright to dark (at night) you can't read the notifications that had come because the colors are distorted. Something that of course doesn't happen on mobiles, the settings icon is only on the desktop, it no longer exists in the control center, generally MIUI 13 is worse than MIUI 12.5 that I have on my mobile.
2. To unlock, you have to enter a password continuously, it doesn't have a fingerprint or anything, oh also in automatic brightness it's very dark to the point where you can't read and you have to manually increase the brightness a bit.
3. The positives are the very good screen, the very good speakers, good autonomy, it charges in 2 hours which I consider very fast charging.
4. A very basic tablet, it doesn't even have GPS, to watch a series, movie, connect your headphones only with Bluetooth and that's it. Something similar to the Lenovo Pad (Xiaoxin) which you could find much cheaper, but I didn't want Lenovo to have the Themes and all the goodies of MIUI but in the end, I messed up and it doesn't support anything.
The tablet is generally awesome, it's very fast, very beautiful, and has a very good screen. However, the three stars go to the lack of support for spare parts. Currently, my screen is broken and I can't find anywhere to replace it. I have to wait a month for a spare part to come from China. I think it's unacceptable for a company that is one of the hottest in Greece to have such big problems with its spare parts.
It's all good BUT... !!!
The usb-c only supports usb 2.0.
So forget about screen mirroring via cable...
The bad thing is that you can't find this information anywhere except in forums (and then it's too late)!!!
400 euros down the drain...
Excellent tablet for the money.
Very good resolution in video and sound, which helps a lot for my use.
Additionally, apart from the speed, I haven't pushed it too hard, but it hasn't frozen anywhere at this moment.
The only negative I've noticed is the battery life, which isn't bad but I would like something better for a tablet.
Still, value for money!
2024 Edit----
I would like to add that after so long the tablet works perfectly. Besides that, I managed to drop it on the bed with my knee, it bent the frame on the left side and the screen didn't break. I repeated the process from the opposite side to straighten it out and the frame returned to normal with a small crack at the point where the pen's pin connectors are located. The screen and the touch are INTACT. I really didn't expect it to have SUCH good durability.
Very good and fast tablet. Best value for money tablet. Amazing screen despite not being AMOLED. Very premium construction. Worth its money. The only downside is that it doesn't come with the stylus and you have to buy it separately (100 euros). As for the battery, it lasts a lot but it's still early days. I will come back later.
I mainly use it for browsing, reading, occasional gaming, and copying files to a USB stick (2.0/3.0) via a USB Type-C to Type-A adapter. Speed, screen, sound, battery, all excellent so far in the 5 months I've had it. The only downsides are the lack of GPS and headphone jack, and a bug with the themes that don't work.
After 2 days of use, I can say that it is a nice and fast tablet. From its first release, I had my eye on it as I consider it the best value for money in its category. It has four strong speakers and the option to switch between refresh rates of 60 and 120hz. Its "minus" is that it doesn't have a fingerprint sensor, but it's a small inconvenience. For faster unlocking, I use facial recognition. It has nice colors and a resolution of 2k on YouTube. Personally, I want it for social use and for watching movies and series. I don't use it for photos, but with a quick test, I saw that they come out decent. I don't play games, so I don't have an opinion on that. I estimate that it will last me 3-4 years.
The software is very lightweight and fast, the 120Hz make a noticeable difference and everything runs so smoothly. The screen, both in resolution and color, is wow!
The sound is pretty good.
In games, I have only run Call of Duty, I have selected Very High and MAX for graphics, although it plays normally, I feel that in some points it lags a little occasionally.
Netflix runs correctly, in FullHD resolution and supports VP9/AVC High and HDR 10 HEVC and Dolby vision.
The camera, I think it is much better than phones that cost around €180.
Regarding the construction, you don't feel the weight and you feel like you are holding a premium tablet.
The battery life and charging time, it is too early to have an opinion yet, but I will come back.
I am fully satisfied! The screen looks excellent in my eyes, the sound is clear and loud, and it's very fast. They have clearly copied the Apple aesthetic in the layout. I haven't run any heavy programs yet, but for now, it has nothing to envy from other more expensive options. Time will tell.
A very good Android tablet that was missing from the market.
- Very good antutu score 575,266 (processor evaluation, graphics, etc.) but tablets had a max of 130,000.
- Very good sound and powerful from its four speakers.
- Average camera, only for video chat, and quick photos (but we didn't buy it for that!)
- Average battery life, depending on the app, it lasts about 6 hours in roblox.
- There is no GPS!
- There is no 4G-5G.
- There is no SD memory card slot.
- Bluetooth 5.0 and wifi connectivity are excellent.
- The screen is plain glass, not corning gorilla glass... and it breaks very easily.
WARNING!
If you plan to get it for a child, it is not compatible with family link... (parental control) it does not work... it is a software issue... (it loops in the setup) so you cannot limit the time and type of content...
Priced at 400 euros...
For all these, I give it 3 stars.
