Nice game for a group (especially for a large group with plenty of available time), it requires thought and discussion and attention to detail. The adventures take quite a bit of time (we dedicated two evenings to each one, much more than the 90 minutes stated on the box), they are well-designed and quite challenging so that solving them is a good challenge. The only downside (and the reason I gave it 4 stars) is that it only has three adventures (in contrast, for example, to the Sherlock games that have 10), and once you finish it, there’s no point in playing it again (like in all games where you solve detective cases). The contents of the box are of good quality, and if you don’t write on them (which you have no reason to do, just a notebook is enough), you can gift it to others after you finish it.
The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it only includes 3 cases. The game follows the same logic as the Sherlock Holmes board games. You read the introduction where you are given the main theme and some additional details about the case, and then the cards of the case and some more "documents" that you have at your disposal guide you to your next steps, such as which locations to visit, which suspects to interrogate, etc. It is up to you how many and which elements you will consult in order to reach a conclusion. The fewer elements you use, the more points you earn in the final score in the questionnaire you are asked to answer! It is definitely a mystery game that you cannot draw hasty conclusions from the initial elements, and that's why each case can take quite a while. That's the whole "magic" of the game, it challenges you to think, connect elements, and draw conclusions. I hope more cases will be released in the future!
Excellent!!!
A card game that you have to struggle to solve the case
The only downside is that it has few cases.
