Description
This is a new presentation of the Psalter of David by Professor Yiannis Dallas. The edition includes the Psalms of David in two languages, the common Septuagint, and the modern Greek translation by Andreas Kalvos photographically (facsimile edition) from the eight-language edition of Samuel Bagster, London, 1825.
In his extensive preface to the new edition, as well as in the text "Ideological fermentation and linguistic preparation of the Odes," Yiannis Dallas sheds new light on Andreas Kalvos's relationship with ecclesiastical texts and analyzes how the translation of the Psalms served as a linguistic and expressive catalyst for Kalvos.
The volume also includes the section Parallel passages - Phrasal preludes of the Odes and a glossary.

The quality of the book is relatively good.
It has all the Psalms of David in the original language. However, the supposed translation-explanation ruined it for me.
It doesn't help much because it explains them in old Katharevousa. To the point that many times it repeats the original text and you wonder what the meaning is...
But for someone who wants to have all the Psalms of David in one book, it's worth it!Translated from Greek ·- Paper quality
