Organic Black Pepper, scientific name Piper nigrum, is a flowering climbing plant of the pepper family (Piperaceae). It is cultivated for its fruits, which are usually dried and used as a spice and seasoning. Pepper is native to South and Southeast Asia and has been used in Indian cuisine since at least 2 BC, while in traditional Indian medicine it played a significant role in relieving sore throat and cough.

The Organic Black Pepper essential oil is obtained from the distillation of the fruit and has a strong, dry, and spicy aroma. The main molecules of its chemotypic composition are: β-caryophyllene, at a rate of 85-90%, and limonene, substances with significant anti-inflammatory, analgesic, tonic, and stimulating properties.
