The FTM-6000E is an FM transceiver for the amateur radio bands 2m and 70cm. The maximum power is 50 W, with the option to switch to 25 and 5 W. It supports operation in FM and NFM (Narrow FM), as well as reception in AM (AIRBAND).

The receiver covers the range from 108 to 999 MHz, and the amateur radio bands 2m and 70cm are available on the transmission side. The transmission range can be extended if required.

The display clearly shows the operating frequency and only displays the selected band. It has only one receiver, while there is the possibility of scanning and priority monitoring (Dualwatch) for monitoring multiple frequencies.

You can store the most used frequencies in 1000 memory slots, which can be named with alphanumeric names. There is also a separate "PMG Primary Memory Group" key for quick access to specific memory groups.

The optional Bluetooth unit (BU-4) allows operation with headphones or hands-free kits. The FTM-6000 also features a 10-pin "Data" jack for Packet Radio or external voice recording devices. Another "Data" jack is used for programming via computer software.

The display is detachable and a 3m separation cable is provided for convenient installation.
