In terms of space, you can easily fit many things, mainly because it has a single central compartment. The usual problem with backpacks is that they are divided. This one is like a duffel bag, but you can turn it into a backpack by taking out the straps for the back that are hidden inside the lining that touches the back.
The shoe compartment is convenient because you can put them separately without cases, bags, etc., and it is useful when traveling with a regular cabin luggage, as you don't need to put the shoes inside the suitcase and play Jenga. You simply carry them on your back in the special compartment and fill the central space with the rest, having, for example, only clothes in the cabin luggage, which gives you the flexibility to fold them as you wish.
Now, if you take it plain, it will fit a three-day trip somewhere with a warm climate. Shoes definitely won't fit together with clothes for a three-day trip, but you will somehow fit a pair of slippers.
The only negative thing is that one small side pocket (opposite the shoe pocket) is very small and also located at the bottom when you wear it as a backpack. So, you always run the risk of things falling out without noticing. Therefore, I put consumables like cotton swabs, a small shampoo, etc. in that pocket, things that won't matter if they get lost.
