Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can
report it here.
They are very good, they have 2 optical inputs and one coaxial and 3 analog, you connect it to the sound card at the optical output or to the motherboard if it has one, and the difference is significant when you connect it this way. The problem is that the bass does not have much extension; I have connected a 12-inch subwoofer and the result is clearly better with FTT14-037 Digital Optical Audio Splitter 1 Input 3 Output × 1 and ANGA Toslink or Coaxial to Stereo RCA Converter (QA-C102) × 1
Owner of the speakers since they first came out! 3 moves and countless hours of operation! They haven't suffered ANYTHING! You can buy them with your eyes closed!
When I set it to 80 percent, it cuts out at 85 and shuts off. I brought in a technician, and he told me that this can be fixed, but he said that he has encountered this problem before; it is a factory issue. The three stars I gave it are for the citizens. I haven't fixed them; I also have the Z5500s, which I replaced, and they are better in many ways.
Very good speakers with plenty of inputs.. I have connected them to a PC... but also to a 65 OLED TV, I use them with Cosmote TV, Disney+, YouTube.. and they really blast.. they come with a remote control and are very high quality in construction, especially the subwoofer.. very good purchase at around 320 euros.. but even if they were more expensive.. I would pay up to 450 I believe, even though that is a lot of money, they are worth it I think.. this is the second time I am buying them, I have one set in Athens and one set in Crete.. I have had the first one for 2..3 years and I have worn it out... it plays at maximum all the time and has held up. because I was afraid it might burn out but they are tough.. that's why I preferred and bought another one that I have tested for about 5 months, it just shakes the house.. I hope I helped..
I had the creative pebble and decided to go for something better. When I opened the box, I saw a huge woofer and some small but heavy speakers. The little console looked big to the eye but is completely lightweight.
I connected them to the PC and played some music tracks. The sound is unbelievable, crystal clear, and rich. There will be an issue with the bass. You don't just want home insurance for earthquakes, but so do the poor neighbors. Unless, of course, you have neighbors you want to torture; then the speakers are excellent for that purpose.
Now, there is an issue with the cables, and you need to hide them for aesthetic and practical reasons. One thing I didn't like and didn't expect is that in standby mode, without making a sound, the speakers consume 22.5w (they are always on; they don't turn off unless you turn them off manually), while if you play something without being deafened, they barely reach 26w.
One of the best purchases I've made for sound! As a owner of the z623 and z333, I have to say that the quality and sound are incomparable. They are worth 100% of their price. Even at maximum volume, the sound is not distorted at all. Personally, I keep the volume just above halfway and the whole house shakes. I have connected it to a sound card (Sound Blaster Audigy FX 5.1), so I don't use 3D movies since the card delivers it directly. Nevertheless, since I've tried it, there is almost no difference. I highly recommend them!
I have had these specific speakers almost since the first day they were released, and I even remember I left Salamina and went to Koropi to buy them for about €350 from a warehouse to get them at a slightly better price than the then-current market price. They work without any problems in terms of bass and connectivity, but I always made sure that the woofer was not pressed against a wall and that the cables leading there were not strained. I am actually surprised that after so many years (2011) the same model is still being sold at almost the same price, which automatically shows how successful it is... I won't mention technical details, but the 500w is absolutely real, and when watching a movie, you feel like you are the main character! Now, if you get kicked out of the apartment building, that's another issue; the same goes for gaming—the sound is crystal clear and the bass is VERY lively!!!! If I had to choose again, I would buy exactly the same ones!!! I hope I helped you
For a very big fan of the company, it is a huge disappointment having bought these specific speakers twice. I have to say the following: they are speakers for a four-year period, which is very bad for their price. In any category I rate them separately, the score is five stars; I say this with great sincerity. The bad score is for how they are constructed. The board that controls everything is glued to the woofer, which means that even with light use over time, they will break (the sound will not play, period). The first time I bought them, I played them at full volume (during times when I wasn't bothering anyone), and the technician didn't make me understand what was wrong, so after having them for about five years, I blamed a move I made with them, and the woofer fell (very low distance from the ground). Trying to save money to buy them again after another four years, the same sound problems started (it sounds like the plug is not making contact and is lost, the remote control does not work, they turn off by themselves, and more). Searching for the problem in forums and YouTube videos on how to solve the issue, I concluded that the problem is with the board, which, because it is glued to the woofer inside, due to vibrations, a controller breaks, and because it is made this way, it cannot be repaired
I've had them for almost three years. Unfortunately, the bass stopped working, and the worst part is that there is no representative to get them repaired if possible. Just for that reason, I will not buy them again. They are not worth the money after all
I have had these speakers for 9 years. They cost around 350 euros back then.
Except for the volume control knob that stopped working in the third year, everything else works perfectly and even more.
Don't hesitate.
The controller has a subwoofer volume adjustment, rear and front speakers. After 50% volume, the club starts, and even at maximum, the sound is clear with the 3.5 jack and the SupremeFX motherboard sound card. Party at home in a 75 square meter space with full bass. But I am crazy and will need a 12-inch sub even with the lows boosted in the sound adjustment program. They have lasted and continue to last at full volume for 4 hours.
4.5/5 I would say, good sound relative to PC speakers. Low is ok, when you approach the maximum volume it messes up a bit...especially the woofer should not go above 70% of its volume as it confuses everything. It has a very powerful sound as a whole, moderate to good build quality (classic Logitech).
*Positive that you have connection options and it easily recognizes 5.1 from both TV and PC by connecting to the appropriate port.
*Personally, I have not had any pieces break or shut down due to overheating in the 4 years I have had it, while I use it frequently and at very high volume it has not let me down.
*EXTREME that when I bought it, it cost 220-250 (depending on the store) and in 2024...4 years later! it goes up to 270 and even 300. When I bought it, it was already considered an old model.
-One negative is that you can't easily find a way to hang the peripheral speakers because they have a special thread that doesn't fit many bases (or maybe I didn't find at normal prices :/)
My father gave them to me as a gift 12 whole years ago because he had closed a big deal and wanted to share his happiness. We went to a chain store, he told me to get whatever I wanted, and I chose these because at that time they were the most expensive ones. As a result, apart from 2 very cheap speakers that I had when I was very young, these are the only computer speakers I have ever had, so I don't have a good point of comparison. I have moved several times, they have fallen, I have kicked them, liquid has spilled on them, and except for the fact that at some point years ago the protective cover came off one of the 4 speakers, they have worked perfectly until now.
Today, after so many years, my speakers died. Suddenly, they just stopped working. I don't know exactly why, but after doing some research, I assume they cannot be repaired. So, this post is a tribute.
As for the sound, personally (without having a point of comparison or knowledge), it always seemed mediocre to good to me, and the volume was excellent.
I wish all good things lasted forever. I would buy them again, but I like to experiment whenever I have the opportunity, so this time I will look for something different.
Many comments wrote that the intensity is great, the system definitely is not 500w as promised. In 2005 I bought a Samsung home cinema that promised 270w. After so many years I decided to replace it since it had a problem. Reading in the comments that the sound is very loud and also that they couldn't turn it up to the max, and because I also read that it is 500w, I said it suits me......!!!! To my great disappointment, the sound intensity is very low, I believe the system is at most 350w.
I will start with the positives.
1. They are very beautiful.
2. Easy to use.
3. They take up little space.
Now for the negatives.
1. The sub easily raises the temperature.
2. The screens came off the speakers on the second day I got them, on their own.
3. I can't turn up the volume because they turn off.
4. Every now and then, they turn off and I have to struggle to turn them back on.
5. The speaker boxes scratch very easily.
I had some extra money and bought them, but they are definitely not the best, for example:
I have the z2300, z5500 x2, and the z906, and the z906 for me are garbage.
The subwoofer plays things that aren't even recorded. One has to lower it a lot to be saved from the ghosts. Never again computer speakers, only Studio Monitors.
They have so many detailed reviews, what else can I say. I simply mention that I have had them for 3 years and they are the best thing I have ever bought, something non-professional and at such a price. (I speak from experience as I have been a DJ for 30 years). They are perfect for listening to music (they have volume and quality) but also for movies. Finally, the main advantage they have is that they turn 2.1 movies into virtual 5.1 and believe me, there is no difference from real 5.1. And if the price seems a bit steep to some, it is not. You will spend the money once and keep them for a long time. Truly incredible speakers. The definition of value for money.
P.S. I have no affiliation with the company, don't think I'm advertising. I'm just amazed by their quality, volume, and price. (I bought them for 280€)
I have had these speakers for 3 years... Flawless for gaming and movies with extreme bass depth and crisp clear sound in the high frequencies. I can't say the same for the music aspect as the MONSTROUS subwoofer and the very "shrill" speakers make the speakers color the sound, and the weakness in the mid frequencies is noticeable. Construction is flawless and sturdy. It will definitely require some work in terms of placement as it has a lot of cable and you will need to consider the space where you will place it before purchasing. For its price, it is perhaps the most solid choice for a 5.1 system.
If you can afford to spend money on this product, do it with your eyes closed. The best Logitech has in 5.1. The whole house shakes at volume 3/4.
I play Red Dead Redemption 2 and World of Tanks. These two games support 5.1 sound, so I can't describe the enjoyment of the sound when all the speakers are used. Don't forget to adjust the windows to give you 5.1 sound.
Update: I discovered that you can change the bass levels and the levels of the speakers separately with the control. In response to a review that the sound was not loud enough.
One can understand the difference when it is not connected to the source with the 3 cables but simply with an aux/HDMI.
Very good upgrade from the two speakers I was using before. Of course, you also need the appropriate content to listen to them at 100%. In 2.0 content, the rear speakers are rarely heard compared to the front ones.
The Logitech Z906 is an exceptional 5.1 speaker system for computers that provides incredible performance and sound quality. With a total power of impressive 500W, these speakers produce rich, impressive sound that allows you to enjoy movies, games and music with accuracy and detail.
The 5.1 composition allows you to fully enjoy the surround sound, with discreet speakers for the front, rear and center channels, as well as a powerful subwoofer for the lows. This creates an immersive sound atmosphere that fully immerses you in the experience of the content you are enjoying.
Overall, the Logitech Z906 is an excellent choice for sound enthusiasts looking for a powerful and stunning sound experience on their computer. Whether it's games, movies or music, the Z906 will impress you with its quality and performance.
Firstly, I should mention that I have them connected to my PC with the 3 jack cables. In movies, there is a proper 5.1 surround sound, and during gunshots, fights, etc. you feel like you're in the action. For music, the 4.1 option is the best for me. The front and rear speakers play the same thing, the space is filled better, and it's more enjoyable.
Regarding the volume, I've momentarily turned them up to 60-65%, but never higher. The maximum I can handle for a few hours is around 45% (these are in a small room, I will add a review for a living room in the future).
Note about the volume: I left them at 50% and played music on Spotify through my phone while being 70 meters away from the house, and I could distinguish the bass. Don't imagine that it was shaking at 70 meters, but it was noticeable, and all this was in the afternoon when there is traffic in the area.
For me, if you combine them with a computer, I think it's a one-way street. I don't know about using them with a TV, but I will try and add my comments.
Very good for the money they cost. 239 €. Good quality sound, I use them for home cinema, easy connection with optical fiber. I hope they will last over time... I have tested them until halfway and they are great, above that the windows will break...
