Good construction but the important downside that I didn't realize at first is that it has fixed lengths. That is, it is 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18; you can't choose something different. I would have liked it to be adjustable to something in between. Nevertheless, it seems good; time will tell, of course.
Excellent choice, I prefer it for the second time for my father, a retired barber who occasionally cuts friends' hair and does an amazing job. It doesn't break, it doesn't shatter, it charges quickly, the only thing it needs is special oil often, which you can find outside for about 3 euros for a long period of time.
I have it for several years and it still cuts very well....the battery performance has decreased, which is natural, but it works perfectly with electricity if you run out of battery. There is also a video if you want to change the batteries. It is worth the money and more.
It doesn't clog. It cuts with one pass since it is professional.
The battery is not its strong point but it will give a good shave.
With electricity, its function is great.
I consider it to be very expensive for what it offers.
After two years of use. The purchase was made for something more famous and better quality than the cheap ones I used to buy. In the first few months, it was great, powerful, lightweight, and did its job well. However, after some time, with a haircut or shave, the battery would drain and the machine would be powerless even when fully charged. The batteries would die almost as fast as new ones, so I had to buy the same ones from Varta and put them in. The motor was not as lively as in the first few months, regardless of the batteries, and overall it disappointed me until one day it slipped from my hand and... it shattered into 500 pieces... and went into the trash bin. One thing is for sure, I won't miss it, and no, I do not recommend it.
I was torn between this one and the more expensive 1421, but for the simple use I wanted it for, I decided not to go overboard and chose this one. And from the first use, I wondered what more the expensive machine could do.
Honestly, it is the best product I have ever used. I have soft facial hair and I was always annoyed that with every machine I had to make ten passes to catch all the hairs. With this one, I don't have to worry. It cuts anything it finds, it doesn't get stuck, it doesn't clog, it is quiet with a sturdy construction, charges quickly and lasts a long time. As for the battery that some people mention, it is the last thing I care about. Besides replacing it with batteries of any brand, there is always the very long cord that solves your hands.
I highly recommend it
The machine is classified as professional use.
For personal use, which is what I got it for, it is simply flawless. The only thing you notice during the haircut is its heat when you use it without any comb.
It doesn't pull or get stuck even in fast and abrupt movements.
The only doubt I had was regarding the lack of a wide range of length adjustments, but in the end, the combs it has for this purpose are sufficient.
I have gone through several hair clippers. Philips, Panasonic, Remington, and Moser. The reason for purchasing this one was the broken battery and the inability to replace it on the Remington MB4045, which was only 6 months old, as well as the closure of the store where I had bought it. The cutting of the ER1411 is close to professional, it never gets clogged, and its only significant drawback for me is the limited cutting lengths, as they are based on the 3 double-sided combs it has, which are 3/6, 9/12, 15/18mm. I read comments that its battery "dies" very quickly, but for me, this was not a factor in both the purchase and evaluation, as I always use the cord either from the beginning or during its use.
I have been using the machine for at least 6 years.....perfect results without clogging....for this price, it is by far the best there is....in response to Nikos K54's comment, because after four years I had a problem with the batteries, I would simply suggest opening it up and replacing the two batteries that appear to be different from regular 1.2v AA rechargeable batteries on the market, but they are not....so anyone can open it up and easily replace them without any knowledge of electronics with 2 regular rechargeable AA batteries from the market, and thus have a new machine again....
Normally I would give 3 stars due to Panasonic's policy, but I didn't because some users simply look at the final rating without reading the comments...
So 5 stars so as not to bring down the final rating of a product that truly deserves it!
Firstly, the term "professional" that I see in some stores, objectively and mildly, I would characterize it as funny!
The machine is purely for amateur, household use, and for this use, I consider it one of the best (the best out of those I have tried) and definitely worth its value and more!
Advantages compared to machines of similar value (that I have tried) include satisfactory close shaving (for the reason I use it), leaving hair like a two-day stubble after a close shave...
It doesn't get stuck, doesn't chew on hair.
Small size, convenient grip in hand.
Proper functioning like the first day, even now 4 years after purchase!
Of course, it requires cleaning after each use and regular lubrication (oil included in the package).
Now let's move on to what bothered me, which I mentioned at the beginning!
The battery had lost performance before its time, and gradually lost more until now, 4 years later, it doesn't work at all, the machine only works when plugged in!
The machine doesn't open (in theory) and if it does open, you will find that the battery is not a common one in the market but specific to Panasonic. The battery is not sold separately (at least I didn't find it) and Panasonic asked me, I don't remember how much, but I remember that it was more beneficial for me to give it away to someone in need and buy a new one. Being poor myself, of course, I chose to keep it and use it simply as a power source and not as portable.
Here I should add another positive aspect of the product, which is the length of the charger cable, around 3 meters if not more. In the first year of battery operation, you will find it annoying and unnecessary, but later on, you will appreciate its value!
Excellent choice for anyone using the comb-clipper technique, it doesn't get clogged and is very powerful. If you use combs or want easy fades, then you will struggle and it is better to choose a machine with a side lever adjustment.
