Reading many reviews expressing concern about this specific product from Chilly's, I must say that firstly, it is one of the most beautiful thermoses for use with hot or cold drinks. However, many people talk about leakage when it comes to hot drinks. Having conducted many tests involving hot espresso or cappuccino or similar lattes, I must say that as long as the product's instructions are followed, there is no problem whatsoever. The interesting thing is that everyone knows, as it is enclosed in a paper with instructions and the instruction for hot drinks is also written on the lid from the inside, but it is not clearly stated, and clearly stated in many reviews, that we are not allowed to close the lid for drinks at 90⁰C! Then, for drinks above 60⁰C, we can close the lid but not close the rotating spout. These instructions are written and clear!! If there is any leakage, it is due to mishandling. Today's cappuccino drink, measured at 56⁰C, I closed it again without the slightest leakage from the rotating spout. The hotter the drink, the fewer movements (such as placing it horizontally, for example) are allowed. It is a thermos cup that does its job very well, provided these simple instructions are followed. The reason I mention my experience in detail is that there are moments when it is impossible for someone who wants (as is natural) the most beautiful option like this thermos cup to find clear information, and usually they will take a risk to buy it. Don't be afraid if you are careful in following the rules to the smallest detail.. Needless to say, it has a significant temperature retention time and the wonderful spout for freddo that you can use with a reusable straw is excellent. I highly recommend it, with the condition of clearly following the manufacturer's terms of use

  Beautiful casing with a material that doesn't slip. It keeps the temperature of both hot and cold for many hours. However, after a few months of not daily use, it has a leak from the hole for the straw. Also, every time you use it, you have to rinse the ring on top that shows the hole well since it has a manufacturing flaw in my opinion. The drink passes between the rubber casing and the lid, causing it to stick. I wouldn't buy it again.

  I just got it and so far it's fine. It looks nice and works for my personal purposes. The only issue I can foresee is around the temperature limitations. I haven't had many thermal cups in my life but I've never seen these types of temperature limits (is it normal?). My coffee machine brews coffee at about 92-96 degrees Celsius, which is standard, but you can only put liquids 90 or less in, and then only shut the lid when it's at 60 which means you'd have to wait quite some time before you can leave your house (for example) with your hot coffee, which kind of defeats the purpose? Wait too long and it will just be warm/cold! If I were on the run a lot I'd want something I didn't have to think about so much. For that reason I'm giving it a lower rating because I don't think other insulated cups have this issue.

  I learned the following after receiving it and reading the instructions: For those referring to hot beverages, you have chosen the wrong one. It is prohibited to place something that is at 90 degrees or higher (meaning hot). If you do place it, you must NOT put the lid on until the temperature drops, and then seal it - after 15-20 minutes. It can keep lukewarm or slightly warm beverages warm/hot with no problem, but it loses heat, so be a little careful.

  The bag leaked, I was disappointed.

  Before I start, let me say that if there is leakage, it is due to the high temperatures of the contents. That is, if you pour the coffee into the thermos as soon as it is made in the coffee maker and close the lid, then there will be leakage. The correct use is to put the coffee in, put the lid on, and leave the spout open until you leave the house, about two to three minutes, just enough for the steam to escape.

  Other than that, we are possibly talking about the highest quality thermos on the market. I put the coffee in at 7 am and until 12 pm when I finish it, it is still hot. As for cold drinks, I will just say that if you put ice inside, it can last for about 8 hours and it still won't have melted! Both my girlfriend and I have the coffee thermos and the water bottle, and we are very satisfied. Especially the water bottle is a must for the beach and vacations. As soon as they bring us water and coffee, we pour them directly into the Chilly's and for as long as we stay at the beach, we have ice-cold water and refreshing drinks!

  Click on the link for a test and video I made on 5 thermoses, including the Chillys.

  This particular thermos is overrated. I bought it solely for its size, as it is short and fits in my bag. The positives are its nice design and variety of colors. And the fact that it has a hole for a straw, as well as the fact that it is leak-proof for cold drinks.

  The negatives are that:

  1. It does not seal tightly for hot drinks, as the steam and pressure inside cause the thermos to lose heat.
  2. When you open it to drink something hot, it splatters everywhere because it releases the accumulated pressure inside.
  3. The flow is difficult to control, resulting in multiple burns.
  4. After drinking, the hole is surrounded by liquid, so you have to constantly wipe it.
  5. If you drink hot beverages with milk, such as lattes and cappuccinos, in order to clean it properly, you have to remove the lid because it retains milk inside. The negative aspect is that when you remove the lid (not just unscrew it), you have to apply force to separate it and at some point it will break. They do sell replacement parts, of course, but they cost 10€. So it's better to go for another thermos.

  I won't say that I wasted 35€ because it's okay for cold drinks.

  For cold drinks: 5/5
  For hot drinks: 1/5

  For hot drinks, by far the best thermos I have tried and own is the Emsa (or Tefal, which has the exact same one) with no leaks and almost half the price.

  Also, for both hot and cold drinks with no leaks and a hole for a straw (I have this one too), there is the Wacaco Octaroma, which comes in various colors and sizes, and is again almost half the price of the Chillys.

  I was skeptical before buying it because I had read negative reviews from other users that surprised me about this particular company. But in the end, I bought it.

  1) WATERPROOFNESS: It doesn't leak. I have been using it daily for a week now and I cannot confirm the reviews of others, i.e. that it has leaks. I even filled it with water and left it upside down in a bowl all night! So, in the morning when I checked it, not a single drop had leaked.

  2) ODORS: Having another product from this company (a thermos/food container), I have noticed that it does indeed have a smell after drying after washing. To be precise, it seems to momentarily retain the odor of whatever was last inside. For example, if you put fruits in it, it will smell like fruits, if you wipe it with kitchen paper, it will smell like kitchen paper, etc. The unpleasant odor occurs when it is empty and dry, but with a rinse before use, it is perfect.

  3) TEMPERATURE: i) I haven't used it for hot drinks yet, ii) For cold drinks, if you keep it open (to use a straw), it keeps ice cubes for about 2 hours.

  I would recommend it to someone. It doesn't make sense to buy something for half the price and then have the lid break after 2-3 months, even if it keeps the temperature slightly hot.
