I bought it for backlighting behind the screen. I paired it with the instructions via Bluetooth and then connected it to WiFi through the app for control via Google Home along with the other devices.
It loses connection to the network after 5 minutes. The only way for it to work is through Bluetooth. I tried to "pin" the IP address but nothing. It's a shame, the WiFi function doesn't work. If I had known, I would have bought from another company (the powertech bulbs I have work perfectly).

  I have tried many LED strips, so I decided to give this one a try to have an opinion because I often do installations if the client wants something economical. It is only suitable for ambient lighting and not for main lighting, but that is indicated by the specs-price. I do not recommend it because after a week of use on an aluminum profile for cooling, the LED burned out... so I thought it might have been a defective one for me and I reordered, but I had the same luck with a little more durability at 4 weeks.

  Anyway, I now only work with one company, and I can say that I have been saved; with a little more money, I have the Govee, which is suitable for main lighting and is far superior in colors and quality

  I have over 8 meters of this product in 4 rooms.
  It is the best in its price range, except for 4 observations that prevent it from deserving 5 stars.

  1. Some strips cannot connect to WiFi (2.4GHz) after a while and remain in Bluetooth mode. This may be due to the software.
  2. Some batches do not connect to WiFi at all.
  3. The adhesive could be better. Its durability over time is not great with temperature fluctuations, especially if it is stuck to a wall. Personally, I always use my own double-sided tape to be safe.
  4. It would be nice to have a white option, considering that you are a supposedly reputable company with a wide range of products.

  Positive points:
  1. Material quality and packaging are better compared to others in the same price range.
  2. The app is easy to use and feature-rich, although it may seem overwhelming for beginners at first. Just follow the step-by-step instructions, especially for connecting to WiFi, as long as there are no batch issues.
  3. The lighting is moderately discreet.

  If you want peace of mind, buy Govee by reaching deep into your pocket.

  I have installed it here for two days, I like its light - although it doesn't have pure white - and the control is very easy and convenient, both with the application and with the remote control and Bluetooth.

  What didn't go well is the adhesive, it didn't stick. I put it behind the TV, cleaned it well before putting it, pressed it well to apply, but the next day when I came home, it had come off. I will now try to find a way to secure it better, but clearly the adhesive is not functional.

  Update 16/4/2024: The ewelink application that is needed for control through my phone gave me a message that the trial period has expired and I need to create an account. Ha, I thought, I will do another trial period, I deleted and reinstalled the application, etc. etc. Without further ado, the application can no longer connect to the strip, an error occurs while it sees it but cannot connect, in any way. So, only control with the remote control remains. Note that I have experienced this with two different strips and two different phones, so we are talking about a systemic error.

  I had to return it as when I installed it, I noticed that the number of LEDs per meter (30led/m) resulted in visible gaps between the LEDs, so they appeared as individual bulbs rather than a cohesive lighting fixture, even though they were placed in specially designed channels for this purpose.

  Its intended use was for lighting under kitchen cabinets, which made it aesthetically unappealing. If it is intended for a similar use, I would not recommend it. Perhaps a LED strip with 60led/m would be more suitable for this purpose.
