Utilizing the principles and tools of the Montessori method, renowned educators Simone Davies and Junnifa Uzodike help us understand the needs of the baby, assist in its development, and create the foundations for a healthy relationship that will accompany us for a lifetime. With hundreds of tips and examples, photographic material, and useful charts, you will learn how to:
Prepare for the parental role physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Observe your baby to understand its real needs, without stress and prejudices.
Appropriately arrange your home so that there are spaces where nothing is forbidden.
Organize Montessori activities that enhance the baby's linguistic and motor development with respect to its own pace of growth.
Help the baby feel secure and confident.
For many years, we considered babies to be fragile and that all they could do was eat and sleep. Later, we discovered that babies learn a lot in the first months of their lives, and so we began to pressure them to learn everything quickly. Let's calm down.
Let's focus on this new life by recognizing its own needs, seeing every moment, even diaper changes, as an opportunity for connection and not a chore, and learning that every baby is unique and needs our support to explore the world around it with respect for itself and others.

Interesting book if you are interested in Montessori philosophy. Quite explanatory, although in some cases I would say repetitive. Some things seem too theoretical and not so applicable.
Edit: My baby is about to turn one, and this year I realized that I read it for nothing, all these philosophies are just a bunch of theories.. obviously, no one asks permission from the baby to change or pick them up, come on.
I got tired before noon, many things were repeating, I would prefer it to be separated if it's a development period
Very interesting book for anyone who wants to delve into Montessori philosophy. At the end of the book, there are gathered the suggested activities by age group, which is very useful.
Wonderful read! I believe all new parents deserve to familiarize themselves with the principles of the Montessori approach, and this specific book is the best
There are many books about Montessori philosophy, from this perspective it is very good because it gathers all the information in one text. Personally, however, I would prefer to have more about interpersonal relationships and less about how to organize the house.
