    I personally bought it for indoor use and to drive the Sennheiser HD 598 headphones. These headphones have a cable with a 6.3mm plug, but you use the adapter to 3.5mm. Unfortunately, with low volume and moderate sound quality from sources like a PC. With the Shanling UA2 in the middle, the volume is powerful, as well as the sound quality, even with non-HD audio. At this price, even if it never connects to a portable device, it has been worth the money

    Chaotic difference compared to the standard analog output of the 3.5mm mobile phone, as well as the MacBook Pro. Of course, it cannot be compared to the 15 times more expensive Cayin dac6mkii that I use in the sound system, but the difference was not as huge as in the aforementioned comparisons. At 90€, it is absolute value for money. Having sold the dragonfly black here for 2-3 years now, and with a different setup, I cannot have an accurate picture of this specific comparison. What I can say, having the UA2 in my possession at the moment, is that I am satisfied, both with its quality and with the 30€ less (compared to the dragonfly black) that it cost.

    A highly commendable D/A converter and line amplifier. Clearly upgrades the output of a mobile device and does a very good job with an active speaker input as well. Despite having relatively low output in single ended, it manages to drive headphones of moderate sensitivity and low impedance. It is difficult, even if there are options, to find something similar.
