The Eurofighter program, developed from the second half of the 1980s by a consortium of European companies, aimed at creating an advanced multi-role aircraft, significantly specializing in interception. The result of the program is the "Typhoon," which is one of the best air superiority aircraft in the world. Its aerodynamic design is characterized by canard-delta wings. Thanks to its two EuroJet EJ200 engines, the Typhoon can reach a maximum speed of Mach 2. The technology it possesses, enhanced by the fly-by-wire control system, allows for great maneuverability in air combat. The British Royal Air Force, along with the air forces of Germany and Italy, are the primary users of the Eurofighter, with 160 units deployed in fighter squadrons.
