The Ricoh GR IIIx uses a new optical system consisting of 7 elements in 5 groups with a new focal length of 26.1 mm (approximately 40 mm in 35 mm equivalent focal length). The low-dispersion glass lenses with a high refractive index and the high-precision aspherical lenses are optimally positioned in the lens construction according to the optical system of each model to suppress optical distortion and chromatic aberration to the absolute limit, providing a high level of sharpness. This results in images that are sharp and clear across the entire frame, even from the full aperture setting.

A high-performance "Accelerator Unit" processor is adopted in the GR IIIx as a powerful means of supporting high-quality images. The signal extracted from the image sensor is sent to the image processor after optimal handling.

This reduces noise, providing excellent resolution and color reproduction across the entire sensitivity range. It also makes it possible to shoot at ISO 102400.

The results of the optical anti-aliasing (AA) filter are achieved with Shake Reduction (SR). The slight movement of the image sensor during exposure suppresses false colors and moiré. You can choose whether to prioritize resolution or the reduction of false colors and moiré depending on your subject. Select [High] or [Low] for effect settings.
