It has been installed on the first floor of a two-story house to monitor a small garden and a parked motorcycle. Briefly, the pros and cons of using it for the past 4 months are as follows:

Pros:
+ Very good image quality day and night. At night, it has the option for automatic activation of infrared based on the light intensity in the area.
+ Wide-angle camera, covers a very large area (much larger than expected).
+ Excellent waterproofing, as I have it in a completely exposed area where it constantly gets wet.
+ Battery life is also excellent, I generally charge it about once a month, where the level will have dropped to a maximum of 55-60%, with 24/7 operation.
+ MicroSD slot, where it can store automatically recorded videos. Note: The videos do not exceed 15" in duration and the recording triggers can be activated at least every 30". The camera is designed this way to save energy.
+ Real-time feed and the ability to speak through the mobile phone during the feed and be heard through the camera's speaker. (+ extra voice effects)
+ Algorithms for differentiating whether a person is passing by, if the camera has been moved (very good), or if there is any change in the environment (e.g. if a light is turned on). Similarly, notifications can be separately activated for any (or all) of these cases.

+ The Mi Home application is very user-friendly, especially if there are other Xiaomi devices in the house. Frequent updates at the application level and relatively frequent firmware updates.

Cons:
- Sometimes human motion is not detected as it should be (either detected as a change in the environment or not detected at all). Also, sometimes there is a notification but it does not appear until you open the application. Generally, I would say that maybe 15-20% of these notifications are lost or not communicated correctly. The use of scenes, as many recommend, creates false positives (unnecessary extra notifications), but if it doesn't bother you, it is a solution.
- Very poor range of rotation of the camera arm on its base, which is too small for placing it high up. Personally, I made some kind of modification by tilting the camera against the wall and rotating it so that the wide-angle lens captures some dead angles.
- The infrared capture is really good in complete darkness, but if there is low light, the regular capture is perhaps better. Therefore, trial and error is needed here, or you can simply leave it on auto.

*Review update: After about 1 year of use, I can say that I am quite satisfied. There have been many updates to the application and firmware, and now the camera works much better. The battery performance continues to be at the same level as the first months of operation.

*Update 2: I have now installed it in a new house (first floor, back balcony), where the camera works almost perfectly. This highlights the importance of placement and the house's network. Although human motion continues to be detected as "changes in the environment," overall the functionality is much more reliable than the previous installation. The battery still has very good performance. I am adding 1 star and I would say that I would buy it again.
