The HDMI Ethernet Channel technology combines video, audio, and data streams into a single HDMI cable, allowing for fast networking. The audio return channel enables a television connected via HDMI with a built-in receiver to send audio data "upstream" to a surround sound system. It supports 3D via HDMI and all HDTV formats. In addition to RGB color and x.v.Color, it supports three additional color spaces, ensuring better accurate color reproduction on HDTV.
