The television is good, but do not expect anything impressive, because it costs twice as much as others in its category. First of all, the ambilight it has, which are LEDs on the back of the television, personally I consider it a gimmick and without any practical significance anymore.
Supposedly when they launched it in 2002, it was supposed to offer a deeper black experience, due to the contrast it would create with the wall behind the television and the panel. Now, with the new panels of televisions, this idea-innovation is at least funny.
Instead of upgrading their panel, which by the way is 1080 and not 4K, they sell beads and mirrors, even to the natives. And since we're talking about the panel, I have to say that it is mediocre with black, it's not black, but gray and it takes a long time to customize it to a point where the movies don't look faded and I'm still not sure if I have achieved the ideal yet. Every day I will adjust something and always, but always, black is disappointing.
The big plus of the television is of course the Android it has, which is very fast (kudos here to Philips) with which you can install any application you want on the television. The menu is quite simple and the remote control is very good, although I would like it a little smaller, it is about 20 centimeters. As for the sound, I have nothing to say, let's be serious, we're talking about a bedroom television, not a home cinema.
Amazing picture, sound, construction, the Ambilight system is wonderful, the menu is quite user-unfriendly, especially when loading satellite channels, the DVB-S2 receiver is almost average, it plays movies very nicely with the KODI and VLC applications, with recognizable Greek subtitles (just make sure the subtitle encoding is UTF-8 instead of the usual ANSI code), it is very easy to control from the mobile phone in the YouTube application, and even with voice commands on the phone. It was purchased for €279 and it truly deserves it
Purchased for a student. Picture and sound are very good. User-friendly menu. Sorted the channels in 5 minutes. Connected immediately to Wi-Fi. Time will tell the rest
If you have limited space, it is one of the few decent options at 32". It takes time to get used to the menu. Older people will struggle. It has all the benefits of Android, meaning endless apps and games. I play all the retro Nintendo games with friends and we have a blast! The CPU has average speed, for example, the mibox4s feels a bit faster. System information states only 1.5GB of RAM! I will come back with photos for the technical details of the system.
The ambilight is excellent and very convenient, especially if placed in a bedroom. Channel sorting is done normally, without the need to create a "favorites" list. The remote control is large, but its ergonomics are mediocre. When changing channels, it probably loses synchronization between the image and sound for 2-3 seconds, in order to display the image quickly. For 280 euros, it's worth it, but for more money, you wonder if you should go for more inches from a well-known Chinese giant.
Perfect picture and sound..
User-friendly menu and fast response regarding internet services like YouTube, Netflix, etc.
Time will show its durability.
