These are the first AirPods I've purchased. I don't have experience with the previous ones, so I can't make a clear comparison. The reason I went for the AirPods 3 instead of the Pro is mainly because of their design (the rubber ear tips bother me in my ear) and secondly because of the increased battery life.

Now, it's clear why I listen to Apple Music (of course, I won't change Spotify for anything). But the spatial is really mind-blowing!!

Put on Ed Sheeran - Bad Habits and you'll be speechless!!

Everything is crystal clear in speech. The earpiece and microphone hear you exceptionally well on the other side. And with one earpiece, you don't even need both.

The price is steep at €200, it's Apple after all. But what the company has managed to do is make everything so natural in its ecosystem that I wouldn't change it for anything!

Having an iPhone 14 Plus, I decided to buy these in order to have perfect compatibility with my phone, as well as maximum quality in sound and durability (180€). Within the 6 months that I have had them, I had to take them to the service center twice and they replaced both the headphones and the 2 AirPods (if it wasn't under warranty, the cost of replacing the headphones would be 160€), while many times the connection with the iPhone when I take them out of the case is very slow to the point where I miss calls. If the warranty expires and it happens again, I will simply throw them away. Repair is not worth it. Complete disappointment!!!!

  I have had them for 3 years.
  Perfect, one of the most value for money accessories from Apple.
  The only negative is that for a short period, one earbud wasn't charging. It probably didn't make good contact.
  Paradoxically, I didn't need to take it anywhere for repair/service as it started charging normally afterwards.

  In terms of sound, they are flawless. Everything else is useless and should be thrown away. I put them in the case and most of the time they don't charge, resulting in them not working at all when I try to talk. Other times only one charges while the other does not. I also had the AirPods Pro 1 and had exactly the same issue with those. It's a disgrace. STAY AWAY!! There are much better options.

  I bought them on 12/21 and after 2 years of use, they are like new. I use them daily for Skype calls at work. I use them on my iPad and iPhone, and my husband uses them on his iPhone as well, and they connect instantly. The person I'm talking to hears me crystal clear.   HOWEVER, the only problem is that I had them for 2 years and the left earbud has lost at least 20% of its sound volume. With specific settings (for iPhone) in "accessibility > AirPods > sound settings", I balanced the volume, with the left earbud reaching 78% (to have equal volume in both ears). The normal setting is at 0% for both ears.
  Also, with this setting, the sound volume is significantly reduced and also distorted!

  Nevertheless, I would recommend them because they provide nice sound and features! Pay attention to their management!

  I believe it's one of the best purchases I've made recently.
  For such small earbuds, their sound is amazing.
  I mainly use them for calls, music, and movies.
  The frequency range is large both in the bass and the highs.
  In calls, those I asked how I sound told me better than the microphone of the phone itself.
  The battery is satisfactory (lasts about 6 hours of continuous use), although I have no opinion on how it will be over time.
  The fit in the ears is satisfactory. Generally, I don't like in-ear headphones because so far I haven't found any that fit my ears. For walking, they are okay, but while running, I often feel like they are coming out of my ears.

  Predecessor of AirPods Gen 2, which left me 100% satisfied after 3 years of excessive use.
  I was very hesitant due to the design to proceed with the purchase of Gen 3 and I was considering going back to Gen 2.
  (There was no thought of getting the Pro, such type of headphones do not suit me at all)

  However, after the purchase and several hours of use, I have the following to say:

  - They fit perfectly in the ear despite looking thicker, they might even be more comfortable for extended use compared to Gen 2.

  - EXCELLENT improvement in sound quality for podcasts and music.

  - In calls, I didn't notice any significant difference, you can hear and be heard perfectly fine.

  - Noticeably much longer battery life.

  - I believe the "Tap" feature of Gen 2 was much more convenient than the "button" present in Gen 3 for answering calls, etc., although it might be a matter of getting used to.

  I have been the owner of the AirPods 3rd Gen for about 3 months now. I didn't want to do a review until now, in order to have a complete opinion.

  If you don't want to read the whole review, I have summarized it below. And I have also categorized it if you want to see specific information about a topic. Before the upgrade, I was using the 2nd gen since 2019. After almost 4 years of use, as expected, their battery was draining relatively quickly and I had higher sound requirements. So, I decided to upgrade to the 3rd gen.

  Fit in the ears:
  As with every AirPod (maybe except the Pro, which have different ear tips), how they fit in each person's ear is completely subjective. Initially, they are thicker and closer to the ear compared to the 2nd gen (and therefore, also the EarPods). I should note that the EarPods and AirPods 2nd gen fit PERFECTLY in my ears. So, I was a bit worried about the fit of the 3rd gen. Indeed, as a first experience, I was a bit disappointed. Their fit wasn't as good as the previous ones and I was quite afraid that they would fall out with the slightest movement. HOWEVER, I got used to them incredibly quickly in my ears and realized that they don't go anywhere. I use them while walking, on the bus, while playing basketball, while cycling, and they don't move at all. So, I'm glad I waited to do the review and didn't judge them unfairly. I just needed to give them a little time.

  Sound:
  INCREDIBLE sound. I don't have much to say here. The quality is amazing, the bass is exceptional compared to their predecessor and also compared to other brands I have tried (Samsung, Xiaomi). The Spatial Audio feature is fascinating and especially in the beginning, it's a lot of fun to discover and play around with it. Music sounds crystal clear on Apple Music and Spotify. When watching a movie on Apple TV with spatial audio turned on, no matter where you turn your head, you hear the sound coming from the direction where your phone is, and it feels like a cinema sound. (Note: when spatial audio is on, it consumes slightly more battery). They don't have noise cancellation, you will find that in the Pro models, but I don't need it anyway, so I don't mind its absence.

  Calls:
  You hear the person you're talking to perfectly, the microphone is excellent, maybe even better than the iPhone's and definitely better than the gen 2. It doesn't isolate the surrounding sounds as much, but it's definitely an improvement from the previous model.

  Battery:
  I have NO complaints about the battery life of both the earphones and the case. It lasts much longer than the 2nd gen when they were new. With normal use for music, movies, and occasional calls, they easily last for 6 continuous hours and more. (I have used them for up to 6 continuous hours and they still had almost 20% battery before I put them back in the case to charge). In a call, I have used them for a little over 4 hours until one of them ran out of battery. If you put them in the case for just 5 minutes, you get 1 hour of usage. So, even if they do run out, I have never been without earphones for more than 5 minutes. I charge the case approximately every 5 days on average. Sometimes even a week, and rarely 4 days. It depends on the usage each time. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the battery.

  Connectivity:
  Words are unnecessary. It's an Apple product and it has PERFECT compatibility with other Apple products. They have never disconnected, the initial pairing is incredibly fast and easy. They connect perfectly with my iPhone, Apple Watch, Mac, and Apple TV. I didn't expect anything less from Apple, especially since even after 4 years of use, my 2nd gen AirPods never disconnected and I never had any issues connecting them to any device. Flawless. (I can't speak for connectivity with non-Apple devices, except for a Windows laptop which connected just fine, although not as quickly as with the Mac.)

  Controls:

  Well, they don't have tap controls like the gen 2, which initially threw me off, but again, just like with their application in the ear, I just needed to give them some time to get used to. I have no problem with the controls, after a little bit of use and playing around with them to see what they do, you get used to them very easily and after just a few days, you start using them mechanically, without even thinking about it.
  The controls are as follows and work on whichever of the 2 earbuds you choose to press:

  Long press to activate Siri.
  Single press to play/pause when listening to music or to answer and end a call.
  Double press to go to the next track.
  Triple press to go to the previous track.

  Case:

  Overall, a very nice case, the build quality is evident, it feels more sturdy than the gen 2. A big positive is that the interior hasn't gotten dirty at all in all these months (as you can see in the photo). The white can easily get dirty on the outside and get scratched if it's placed in pockets with keys, coins, etc., or in a bag. That's why I chose to buy a case that protects it from scratches and stains. Of course, there's no functional issue if they get scratched. The gen 2 went through incredible tumbles, fell down stairs, got scratched by keys, and still worked perfectly, they didn't suffer any damage, it was purely for aesthetic reasons, to keep them beautiful, clean, and shiny.

  In summary:

  For me, they are definitely worth the money. The sound is impeccable, the functions are flawless, and the battery life and charging time are incredibly satisfactory. As for the fit, because it's very subjective and depends on each person's ear, if you know someone who has them, I recommend borrowing them and trying them first because it's unlikely that a store will let you try them on your own ears.
  They are worth 100%.

  If you listen to a song on Apple Music with Dolby Atmos and lossless track, you understand why these headphones are made.

I am really disappointed with the new design, which doesn't show in the photos, but they are quite bulky and don't fit properly in my ear. The sound quality is very good, but it doesn't isolate external noise enough when in use. This may be due to the wrong fit because of the size.
