I got it for a wifi connection on a stationary PC with a distance of 8-10M from the Vodafone router and it works perfectly without disconnections. The purchase was also made for connecting Razer Kraken V2 BT via Bluetooth. Also perfect
Indeed an amazing card! The upgrade from wifi 4 was huge. As the other guys have said, before installation download the drivers from Intel's page. The only downside for me is the length of the cable; I would have liked it to be one meter longer. A trick for those who want a slightly better signal is to enable the card's transmission booster. (control panel -> device management -> Inter(R) Wi-Fi6E -> properties -> advanced -> Transmission Booster -> Value=Enabled) In my case, the signal was at 2-3 bars while now it is always at 3 bars (I also saw a bit better speed but it could have been a coincidence)
I've had it for 1.5 years now and it's amazing! I haven't encountered any problems! It worked right away when I plugged it in! Download the Intel app if you want to always have the latest update!
Super easy installation, I downloaded the drivers directly from Intel and it works perfectly. It captures the full speed while before I had major issues with USB sticks. I recommend it if there is no possibility for a cable.
Excellent in everything.
WARNING
This card, like many others, has an Intel wifi card inside.
Due to legal restrictions regarding frequencies per country/continent, Intel does not allow you to create a 5GHz Hotspot unless you are already connected to a 5GHz wifi that is transmitted on a "channel" allowed per region.
It was purchased (for a desktop computer) and installed easily. The operating system (Windows 10) recognized it immediately. Easy connection and I have a desktop with wifi connection like a laptop. I am so satisfied that I bought a second one for another desktop computer and later another one, a total of three.
Immediate installation, satisfactory speeds, no disconnections on its own or suddenly.
I don't have experience to tell you specific speeds or measurements. But if it satisfies you, I can tell you that on the second one I installed, it reaches (wifi) speeds of up to 100 Mbps. In two desktop computers, one with a cable and the other with this card, they achieve the same speeds at 100 Mbps.
With closed eyes or "without hesitation," whichever you prefer.
Very good WiFi 6e adapter with Bluetooth 5.2. The installation was easy. I would prefer the antenna cable to be a little thicker and more durable.
Very easy connection with the computer... flawless signal and very stable without any malfunctions..+bluetooth...
The installation process is very easy. If you don't have a free USB port on your motherboard, you can connect the card to an external USB port on the case, like a flash drive, with a USB-A to USB-A cable (if you want to have Bluetooth). As for the speed, it reaches 100Mbps (on a 100Mbps line) at a distance of 5 meters with a wall in between. As for the drivers (WiFi and Bluetooth), as others have mentioned, download them from the Intel website because the Gigabyte website does not have the latest versions, but older ones.
Very good choice, worth every penny until the last cent. Whatever I say is not enough, it does what it says and more.
First time I see a product with so many good reviews for the older model. I have the X210 and with a difference of 2-5 euros, you don't go for the x200. Here comes Gigabyte, which I don't trust that much, and releases an exceptional product.
I searched to find the differences between this model and the 2-year-old X200.
They are both good overall, but this one has a thermally conductive lid to prevent overheating with the Aorus logo, newer Bluetooth, slightly improved circuit board, and a more noticeable appearance due to the plate. These are the differences.
In a 200-line that reaches 220mbs Down / 22mbs Up at a distance of 7-9 meters with 2 walls and 2 closed doors in between, it reaches a maximum rate of 198mbs. By far the best wireless card.
*Place it better in the slot above the graphics card.
Before this, I had a 5GHz USB wifi adapter and the speed I was getting was around 30MB/s for file transfer from a computer connected to the router via ethernet. With this one, I consistently get 70+MB/s (for large files), which is an excellent speed for the 866Mbps supported by the router in the 5GHz band. The router has a line of sight connection with the Gigabyte GC-WBAX210 and is about 10 meters away.
I got the card 2-3 weeks ago, and it's excellent. Previously, I had a powerline to connect my landline to the internet, but it had occasional issues and would cut off for 5-10 minutes 2 to 3 times a day. Plus, I couldn't even reach the speed I should have had since I have fiber optic, the difference is night and day. The signal is consistently at 3 bars while the router is 2 walls away. So far, no complaints. And the installation was easy. Very good value for the money!
It was placed on a computer at a distance of 10m from the router, with an internal wall in between. The connection is an old 24 Mbps one, and the router is a tp-link with Wi-Fi 5 technology (2.4 & 5GHz). The result is that I have a better signal (full signal now), the speed has slightly increased (I used to get 14 next to the router and now I get 14 on my PC), and I now also have full signal on the 5GHz band. There is a slight issue with the Bluetooth drivers, but with a little research, it was resolved through Windows 11 updates. It was purchased in anticipation of a new FTTH 1000Mbps connection with the expectation of satisfactory performance on the provider's router. I will provide an update.
UPDATE: With the provider's router (which dared to offer me Wi-Fi 5 technology), which sold me a 1000 Mbps line, but the maximum Wi-Fi communication on the 5GHz band is 867 according to the specs, it consistently locks above 500.
One of the best products! I think the image speaks for itself, it feels like I have a direct Ethernet connection. In a 30 square meter space without walls, etc. Of course, without any disconnections as well. First, download the Intel utility and then connect it to download the latest drivers. Bought it yesterday, for anyone who wants to have their hands free without pulling cables, etc!
After a month of use, I can say that it does its job perfectly. Both WiFi and Bluetooth work flawlessly and I haven't noticed any disconnections. As other users have mentioned, the Intel drivers are more up-to-date than those of Gigabyte, so it would be good to prefer them. The installation is simple and easy, and the antenna's magnet helps to place it in the box or even under the desk if it has metallic surfaces.
Very good quality product. Now the internet on the computer is stable and uninterrupted. Big difference from a USB adapter. I have no opinion on range as the router is two meters away. Installation is easy if you have basic knowledge of assembling on a motherboard. I am thinking of getting another one for another desktop computer.
It does what it promises, easy installation, no disconnections so far for a month. Very good speeds and enough cable for the antenna.
update 6/1/2023: simply fantastic....it solved my problems, no disconnections...guys, get it with closed eyes, just before installing it, go to the intel website and download the latest driver...install it and then insert the card! And then you will enjoy very good speeds at 5ghz even in a house with many obstacles from walls! As for the 2.4 ghz, there is no discussion, it exhausts the bandwidth everywhere even if you have a wall in front of you! (If you have up to 100mbps internet because it doesn't go above 100Mbps on any wifi on 2.4 ghz)
Very strong and good WiFi, also the antenna that comes in the package is quite beautiful and with a magnetic base, I highly recommend the product. It should be noted that the quality and technology of the router's WiFi also play a role, the product alone cannot make a difference. P.S. for drivers, download the automatic utility from Intel to always be up-to-date
It has been 2 weeks since I started using it and it hasn't shown the slightest problem. It has the latest WiFi and Bluetooth standards, making it quite future proof. Very strong signal from the router without any disconnections, even though there are 2 walls in between. I connect my PS5 controller via Bluetooth and it works without any issues, even when I went out to the balcony to test it. It connects to a PCI-e port on the motherboard and also requires a USB header for Bluetooth. The magnet on the antenna base is very convenient, you can place it vertically on the side or back of the case.
Tip: Before installing the card, install the drivers from Gigabyte's website to have internet when you turn on the computer. It is also recommended to install the latest WiFi and Bluetooth drivers from Intel's official website, as they are more up-to-date than Gigabyte's.
Very good, it does indeed have a magnet underneath the antenna. I got it for hotspot and for transfer via Bluetooth. It works exceptionally well when cooperating with the Microsoft Virtual Adapter. Sometimes the Microsoft driver that creates the virtual network acts up and requires a network reset to fix it.
UPDATE
Install the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers from the Intel website, as the Gigabyte ones are outdated and that was the reason for the issues with the hotspot. Tested on Windows 10.
Very powerful! It's worth the money. Quality and in terms of construction materials. Pleasant surprise and the base with a magnet!
