The heatsink with 2 fans from Noctua is active, which means it uses a fan to reduce the temperature of the processor. With just 22.6dB of noise, this heatsink makes minimal noise and won't draw your attention.

In combination with the i5 14600K, it works silently. It keeps it at very low temperatures of 45 to 50 degrees in X-Plane and MSFS2020. In the summer with 35+, I saw 60+, but never anything more than that! Now that we are in September, it is consistently below 50! I'm not a fan of liquid cooling; I had Noctua in my previous build, so it was a one-way street. Bought for 132 Euros, it is value for money.
It's a very good cooler that will bring down your CPU temps by 20C. The only problem I had with installing it is that I didn't take off the GPU so I kinda struggled with that (my fault took the GPU off after a few tries). Definitely worth it's money and very simple instructions plus it came with thermal paste which I didn't expect
The screws gave me a little trouble because they didn't fit exactly straight. At first, from the left side, I probably tightened it too much and the CPU reached temperatures of 80-100 degrees when I played games. I took it out, added a little more thermal paste on the left side where there was more pressure (because the paste had gone to the right side), and tightened it slightly until I felt resistance. Now, the temperatures have dropped to 45-50 degrees when I play games. I removed the fan that blows the air because I already have a fan for PC exhaust.
THE BEST COOLER ON THE MARKET! It fits in most sockets and definitely fits in the 1700 (Pentium i3, i5, i7, i9) 12th 13th 14th generation and AM5 (for AMD Ryzen). Buy without fear.
Excellent cooling, keeps low temperatures on the i5 - 13500 very quiet. Easy installation and thermal paste included in the box.
Quite large in volume.
Cools the processor perfectly (i513600k).
The paste that comes with it was used and I don't regret it at all as the processor has very low temperatures.
The package includes the promised brackets.
It has nothing to envy from liquid cooling!!
The temperatures are perfect.
If you can afford to spend this money, you might not even think twice about it, even though it may be a bit pricey.
Don't expect temperatures like liquid cooling.....
The minimum-maximum in coretemp with the 13900kf plays at 30-36-40 degrees....
Without any process, just open...
With a thermal throttle limit of 75C, it is completely silent. I would prefer it to cost between 70-90€
10-15 degrees lower compared to the be quiet shadow rock slim 2.
Of course, it costs three times as much, but it's definitely worth it.
You only have to buy it once.
It was installed on an Asrock B760 PRO RS with an i5-13500 on a friend's machine who needed it for office work.
Obviously, we're talking about overkill, but the goal was low temperatures at low RPMs of the fans, meaning we wanted the machine to be literally silent.
The installation took 15-20 minutes from the time we opened the package as we were a bit confused by the clips that the fans have and how to attach them to the heatsink. Otherwise, a very pleasant and easy installation with clear instructions. The only negative is that it is not in Greek, but there are plenty of photos provided for what exactly you will need for AM4/AM5 mount or for LGA 1200/115x/1700 respectively.
Noctua thermal paste is also provided, so you don't need to buy it if you don't have it, which is enough and even extra for the first paste change in 1-2 years depending on usage.
Perfectly placed on GIGABYTE Z690 UD AX, CPU: 12700. It's not even audible, but more importantly, it cools the processor flawlessly.
Beautiful cooler, high quality, worth every euro. Asus z690 motherboard and 12700k processor. No need for extra bases etc. everything is ready. Temperatures are cool! No need for liquid cooling with such temperatures.
The Noctua ftw cooler has satisfactory performance and is relatively quiet. It was purchased for 120 euros and for that price, it's not worth buying unless you want the specific color (e.g. for a full black build). Normally, its price should be around 80 euros.
Core i5-12600K, 29 degrees at 700 rpm with no load. Quiet and very cool.
If you read the instructions carefully, it is easy to assemble despite the many pieces.
