Description

This third book is aimed at children starting piano at the age of 8-9 years and older. It is mainly based on the methodology of the Russian Piano School, except for the way the notes are introduced. The hands have no specific position on the keys and are free.

It consists of three parts. In the first part – learning while having fun – the entire theoretical content of the piano is presented, accompanied by small examples whose difficulty gradually increases. In the second part – having fun while playing – the child does not learn new things but learns to play and interpret pieces. It is a collection of pieces in which everything the child has learned so far is applied. Under each piece, I write a few words about the respective composer and, if known, from which collection of the composer the specific piece is. The third part – finger exercises – consists exclusively of exercises. This is taught in parallel with the first and second parts. It covers the entire material from the beginning until the preparation for the Lower School. The increase in the difficulty of the pieces is gradual without burdening the child and without being overly extensive.
