  It works well. I have it with optical input and RCA output, connected to computer speakers with a subwoofer. The sound is very good.
  The volume control remote is very convenient and the bass control is welcome, although you have to adjust it carefully for the desired result.
  The USB port it has can be connected to a PS5, but the sound quality is poor, with low volume and loud hissing. Too bad. That's why I removed 1 star from the rating.
  The packaging does not include a power supply.
  It includes optical fiber, a USB cable for power supply from a charger, and a cable with 2 USB male ends at the ends which was used to connect to the PS5.

The good thing is that my father can listen normally through headphones at the volume he wants, while I can listen to the sound from the TV speakers at the volume I want, since the volume is controlled separately and not simultaneously.   I bought the product on 18/1/2022 and had it in my space on 22/1/2022 noon.
  As soon as I received it, I immediately tried it to see IF it actually delivers what it promises by putting it on top of an amplifier like a Dac.
  The first connection I made was through USB with my Laptop. Easy and quick audio connection, it didn't give me any trouble at all. However, the sound result surprised me very unpleasantly. Very poor sound quality, like listening to sound from tinny speakers at 48Khz instead of the promised 192Khz that the device can reach, as it didn't even have the ability to reproduce them through the Windows settings. No matter how much I searched or what I did, the sound was a complete disappointment.
  The second connection was through the optical input, from my TV. The result through the optical connection was indeed much better but not excellent as it should be. The sound was not as natural and it had lost volume quality.
  To give you a percentage to understand, I will say 65% satisfied with the sound. After a considerable amount of time using and testing it, I said okay, fine, I'll keep it, no big deal. Then, while I had it playing music through Youtube, I pressed Pause for about 20 minutes. Then, to my great surprise, I heard a very high-pitched sound from my speakers when I went back to the Playroom, which was coming from the device. I closed it and opened it again and it didn't happen, so I assumed that it was fixed and everything would be fine from now on. In the following days, it happened again and again, as soon as I opened it from the button or during use, but mainly when there was no signal passing through it after long pauses, which resulted in me not being able to watch a movie or listen to music, until I got tired and decided to remove it.
  I didn't make the third connection at all through the Coaxial because it had annoyed me a lot.
  As for the negatives, the bass adjustment it has on top is one. It makes no sense. If you set it to a high level, it muddies and distorts the sound to a very large extent.
  Another negative is that the audio output from the RCA is in the front and not in the back, which doesn't help with the cable being able to be placed nicely because it falls in front of the amplifier.
  I also note that it doesn't have its own power supply and a remote control to control it from a distance for On/OFF and input selection.
  I will not recommend this machine to anyone, as with less money, they can do exactly the same job that this one does.

  I recently acquired the device and I am very satisfied because it works perfectly and solved a problem that had been bothering me for years. Specifically, I was able to connect headphones (3.5mm) to my Samsung TV, which does not have this capability by default. I would also like to note that the volume adjustment feature of the converter is useful in case the headphones do not have such a switch.

  I bought it to connect my laptop via USB to an old amplifier with RCA, because there is a "hissing" sound when using the mini-jack. It is nice, lightweight, of average construction, and it does indeed do what it promises, without needing drivers on Windows 7 where I connected it. It did the job for me, but I give it 4 stars for the following reasons:
  a) The volume control is unnecessary because you have to turn it all the way up to reach the volume that the laptop provides. In other words, the volume control does not amplify the sound and it should not exist because it confuses the user.
  b) I also find the bass control unnecessary, as when it is closed, the sound has no bass at all and you have to adjust it around 50-60% for it to sound properly. Of course, after 70-80%, it becomes too overpowering.
