Description

Material

The sink by Teka is made of stainless steel. It is resistant to rust and heat, while also having great resistance to strong acids such as nitric acid, alkaline solutions, and solutions of organic and inorganic salts. It also prevents the implantation and survival of bacteria.

It is easy to clean, requires minimal maintenance, and does not deteriorate over time. Aesthetically, its neutral color makes it suitable for any kitchen without negatively affecting the decor.

Its finish is satin, meaning smooth, and requires more care as salts are more visible.

1 bowl

It features a large basin, which facilitates the washing of large utensils, such as baking trays.

It also includes a stainless steel bowl/colander.

Installation

The installation is inset, meaning it is recessed into the countertop and its rim protrudes. It is the easiest and most widespread installation method for kitchen sinks. Essentially, the weight of the sink is supported by the countertop itself, with some support points at the bottom for stabilization purposes. Sealing is achieved with insulating material, such as silicone, which is placed around the perimeter of the hole, under the rim.

A major practical disadvantage of inset sinks is the rim, which makes cleaning difficult and does not allow water that falls onto the countertop to be wiped directly into the basin.

The depth of it is very good (over 20cm). Even the deepest pots can be washed without dirtying the countertop. However, heavy metal utensils create scratches on the bottom that do not go away. With frequent cleaning using a cleanser to prevent salt residue on the surface, it still looks like new. The only part that has "worn out" is the bottom part of the strainer, which holds the most water.
