I bought such a power strip.
I disassembled it to see what's inside.
At first glance, everything is fine.
It has two Varistors (14D561K & 20D561K), and also a Gas tube (JN2R600A).
But upon closer inspection...
The Varistors are connected in series, between phase and neutral, and rated for 560 volts each. Sum = 1120 volts.
The energy absorption of the Varistors is 125 and 220 joules, respectively.
The Gas tube is connected to the center of the connection and towards the ground, and rated for 600 volts.
Result - this thing will start protecting you at around 1200 volts,
and the maximum energy it will absorb is 125 joules, not the claimed 1300.
If you expect this junk to protect you, you are very mistaken

Quality and at a very good price, it is also one of the few with 1300 Joules when the most expensive and higher quality APC has only 918 Joules, it shows that it can perform excellently when needed, I want to believe. I have it in my possession and have been using it for my 50'' TV with DVD for 15 days now. Time will tell if I made a good choice. Based on the specifications, it is worth it.

The Power Strip Does Its Job Properly. I Have 2 at Home, Whether for Large Appliances or for Smaller Ones like the TV and the Amplifier with the Source. Good Construction, No Complaints!

I have 3 in my house and yesterday I bought another 1... I have connected both large and small electrical appliances to them... With so many power outages that I have, they have not presented any problems. I consider that they do the job as well as being a Greek company. Good price, I am satisfied... I recommend it...
