Construct this Traffic Light and learn how electronic circuits control the signals. 

HOW IT WORKS: The traffic light operates using a smart digital electronic system. In digital electronic systems, there are only two types of signals, on and off. In manual mode, each time you press the button, an activation signal passes to a counting circuit that counts in 2-bit binary numbers (0 and 1) from zero to three. This counter is connected to the lights. At zero, it sends a signal to the red LED light, at one it sends a signal to the yellow light, at two to the green light, and at three again to the orange LED light. When you press the button again, the counter returns to zero. In automatic mode, a separate timing circuit sends a signal to the counting circuit every two seconds, which makes the lights change automatically.
