    Yesterday I got it so I don't have an opinion yet on how long the battery lasts, but it is indeed quiet and the buttons and scroll wheel respond very well. Also, on a wooden surface, it doesn't need a mousepad. The only negative for me is that the mouse doesn't have a case for the small USB antenna that goes into the computer to communicate with the mouse, so it can easily get lost and then the mouse is useless.
