The Mecool KM2 with official Android 10 TV, and active Widivine L1 DRM, has secured Google's certification to run all well-known streaming platforms at the highest possible resolution, such as Netflix, HBO Max, Disney Plus, Cosmote TV, Eon, and Hulu. Inside, you will find an Amlogic S905X2 with 2GB RAM and 8GB EMMC memory.
Mecool has equipped the KM2 with an HDMI port, while it also features SPDIF, an Ethernet port, two USB ports, and a MicroSD port.
In the audio section, the Mecool KM2 supports Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus, with Dolby Atmos Passthrough, while the visuals are also excellent, with support for HDR10+ and HLG, with the Android TV Box on offer supporting hardware decode for H.264 AVC AND H.265 HEVC.

Having been a fan of the mi tv box for a long time, my attention was drawn to the mecool on a foreign website with reviews and comments.
A big plus for me personally is that it has an Ethernet port, knowing that there will be glitches and disconnections with WiFi.
I eventually made the purchase and have not regretted it at all.
It was set up in a few minutes, all the required apps that I wanted (Disney+, Netflix, Ertflix, Amazon prime) were installed.
The control is small and easy to handle.
It works quickly, without any glitches.
It is connected to a Pioneer Vsx 922 Home Cinema and I am completely satisfied.
Buy it with your eyes closed.
Update: I would like to inform you that on Disney+, the dialogue voice is low and it is not the fault of the device, it is purely an application issue.
I am writing this because I read that many people are asking regardless of what box they have and they have the same issue.
The volume works normally on the other applications.
Freezes from the beginning, automatic restarts, in the end it got stuck for good and couldn't even reset... luckily it was still under warranty... I wouldn't recommend it...
I installed it immediately. Informative and music channels. The blue app for movies is excellent. ERTflix, ANT1 plus are excellent. It doesn't lag.! Very good.
I can't say that I am satisfied.. Breaks in the image on Stremio (I have to exit and re-enter the video and after a while it starts stuttering again... I wouldn't choose it again, and as soon as I can, I will replace it.
Very good and stable. I've had it for months, I use it daily, I've installed a ton of apps and it hasn't frozen. I highly recommend it.
Super solution in general (either for non-smart TVs or for apps that we cannot download).
Just some apps that we have on our mobile (e.g. cameras app) do not download.

Coming from the old mi box... I decided to buy the mecool after so many good reviews.
From the beginning, it has freezing issues in the menu and navigation. You need to change the settings for developers, specifically the background processes setting, in order to improve it, but not perfectly (which is not retained as a setting if you restart and it's frustrating).
Overall, it's disappointing, even in apps like stremio, after some time of watching, it starts freezing the image for no reason.
I don't know if I got a defective product.

I didn't have these issues with the old mi box, it just took longer to load, so I decided to change it.

I bought it to run Vodafone TV since I was disappointed with other things I had tried. The machine simply rocks! It's amazing, perfect!
Simply very good, if it ever freezes on you, go to developer mode (to enable, google it) and select 1 in the background processes, it will never freeze again.
This is a device that is exclusively aimed at those who do not have a smart TV and want to turn their old TV into a smart TV. It connects to WiFi and allows you to watch services like Netflix on your old TV. It does not support reading hard drives, does not recognize certain types of music and video files, and cannot be used for home cinema. It is a retail device that does not come with proper instructions, has a poor menu, and does not offer high-quality media playback. Its HDMI does not transmit sound (so only the optical port works) and one of the USB ports is dead. I did not hear any 5.1 audio.

It is an exceptional box for television. Its positive aspect (for those who want it for television and not for gaming and all around) is that it has an Android TV operating system with an unlocked Play Store and not just Android - so you always have the latest versions of all apps, which is not common in the competition, as there are many boxes with their own outdated versions of Disney+ or Netflix. I have subscriptions to the following and have tried them all: Disney+, Netflix, Cosmote, EON, Vodafone TV, Prime, ANT1+. The remote control is of high quality, it is Bluetooth, it works from anywhere in the room, and the channel change buttons + / - work on EON and Cosmote.
I have had it for 6 months and it has changed the way we watch television. You no longer need the functions of your smart TV, we do everything from the Mecool. I have connected it with Ethernet to the router and it does not freeze anywhere. Where you realize the difference is in Disney and Netflix, where the forward-backward transfers are lightning fast. The only drawback is that it has Ethernet 100Mbps and therefore cannot take advantage of all the Mbps of the router (I have a 500Mbps connection), although for now I think it does not need them.
The best TV box. It is very user-friendly, has never frozen on me, and is worth every penny up to the last euro.
Coming from a Xiaomi Mi S 4K that was driving me crazy, this box is incredible. Everything works perfectly without any lag or restarts. 5 stars and yes, it's definitely value for money.
Can someone who has it confirm to me that Ant1 Plus is playing, attention, not just finding and downloading the application. That is, it should play afterwards, for those who have a subscription, that is, to open it and watch. I tried two Android TV Boxes and something with the Greek representation does not open it, as far as I understood.
I've had it for about 2 months! It's worth every penny 100%..with internet speed at home of 50 (clean 45) in Wi-Fi mode it has never stuck..I only have it to watch live broadcasts and YouTube..
Easy menu, very good controller! Its price is a bit steep..of course I have no opinion to compare it with something cheaper from another company.

I have had it in my possession for a week but this is the third TV box I have purchased and it seems to be the most reliable! I consider it worth the money. Good quality picture and sound and easy to handle!
The device is excellent in what it claims to do, just don't expect updates from Mecool. It's their policy to push you to the next model, in our case the Plus.

Rapidly positive review for this amazing machine. It was updated last night OTA to Android 12 and since then it flies. It's like I've bought a new device!
Something like an advanced Xiaomi since it has an ethernet port, 2 USB ports, micro SD card slot, optical fiber, on/off switch, and a great feature is that the switch doesn't stick since it's connected with a cable. It doesn't support all file types, but it works perfectly for what it's intended. I have 2 Xiaomi devices and an X96air, and this one is clearly superior in terms of usability and quality. It's definitely worth it and more.
I decided to get this particular TV box solely based on the reviews it has, as I had a call to the mk7. Although it seems to have small memory, it doesn't freeze at all. Of course, it depends on each person's usage. I use it for stremio, Netflix, and IPTV programs that were already in it and it just took my settings as soon as I put in my account. Great picture, sound is okay, I have it connected to my home theatre, very easy menu, and definitely better for me than the Xiaomi at the same price. Time will tell how long it will stay like this!
I have been the owner of this product for three days and I am very satisfied. I had a Xiaomi before and it kept freezing, so I returned it and got this one and it has been great for my health.
Netflix, Cosmote, Ertflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, Stremio, Kodi, Emby, and Plex that I have tried, all work perfectly.

I also tried Vodafone TV, Apple, and EON (Nova) and they all play smoothly and flawlessly. Kodi, if you load it with a bunch of addons, is slow and generally has a delay with the remote control. However, if you use an Android App for the remote control (e.g. Kore, Yatse), then there is no delay. Personally, I don't use Kodi as frequently, but everything else I have used works PERFECTLY!
The device runs smoothly without any glitches. It's easy to install and even heavy applications like Stremio run effortlessly. The audio and video quality is excellent, making it the best option in the market today. You can buy it without any hesitation, although the price is a bit high, it's worth the investment. Xiaomi is nothing compared to Mecool.
What can I say about this product!!!! Absolutely thrilled!!!!!! With a 20-year-old television, a router in another part of the house, the connection between them wirelessly with TP-Link and the internet speed being at 9 to 11 mbps, it doesn't lag anywhere!!!!!! I made this purchase knowing the data I had and prepared to cry over the 92 euros I spent on this product, and after two months of using it, I am very happy with the risk I took and this purchase.
18 months later: PERFECT, PERFECT, PERFECT!!! - as if not a day has passed!!!
28 months later: it automatically updated the software once and continues... again, as if not a day has passed. Cosmote TV, ANT+, and Netflix work flawlessly, the internet speed remains at 9-11 mbps, and the connection with my prehistoric television continues to be wireless with TP-Link. It also connects instantly and perfectly with wireless headphones.
In these cubes, it basically only plays alone (up to 80-90 euros).
It is logical for this specific Player of 80 euros with S905X2, not to support all audio formats and dolby vision.
Dolby vision and decoding difficult audio formats require powerful hardware and impeccable software support, something that only expensive Players like nvidia shield, zidoo, dune can do.
Attention..! We are not talking about dolby vision through streaming services - many players do this.
We are talking about dolby vision of local files that require different CPU, GPU processing power and proper software.
For anyone looking for a Player that plays everything from image and sound, they will have to go up quite a bit and go to a budget of 150+ euros.
All in one great TV box, I had a smart TV that was useless, but with this little box that doesn't take up much space, the viewing experience has gone to another level. After reading the reviews, I decided to buy it even though I had no experience with this type of box. It plays everything (Cosmote, EON, Netflix...) and is fast without any lag.
I was torn between this and the Xiaomi, but I believe it's worth the slightly higher price because of the ports it has (Ethernet, USB, on/off switch).
Edit: After 1.5 months of use, the box is still problem-free and lightning fast with no lag. I recently bought the cheaper Mi Box S for my second TV and regretted it, so I highly recommend this one for anyone who wants something good and reliable!
I had bought the boxaki from Cosmote and it was one of the worst purchases!! The mecool is light years ahead!! Easy installation, trouble-free, perfect picture and sound (Cosmotetv, Disney, Eon, Netflix)!! Get it with your eyes closed!!!!
