The reason for purchasing the Inventor Rise Pro Wi-Fi with zeolite (model: RS-WUI-08L) in January 2022 was mainly due to the reviews I read, as I was looking for a dehumidifier with Wi-Fi.
I have been using dehumidifiers in Greece since 2015 and only MEACO (zeolite) because the dealership's service was and remains incredible (I live in Athens and have the ability to take the dehumidifier for repairs myself by appointment, as in coastal homes you cannot stay without a dehumidifier for more than 1-2 days... and those are sunny days...!!!).
The reason I am dedicating my precious time to writing this text is to save as many people as I can from the ordeal of the otherwise kind service of INVENTOR.
This particular dehumidifier had a problem (C1 indication) within 1 month of purchase, which after a lot of hassle and calls to the service, I took it myself to Agios Stefanos where they told me verbally at the time that a resistor was replaced, but in the file it is referred to as "reprogramming the board".
The problems (C1 + C2 indications) continued occasionally during the winter (10.2022 - 4-2023), but its use was quite limited.
The problems continued from 10.2023 - until today 4.3.2024 with many phone calls to the service, not only C1 + C2 indications, but also a problem with the continuous water flow operation (with a hose), which means that if you leave for a 3-day trip, you return to a "different" house than you left...!!!
The proposed solution was to send (or courier) the dehumidifier to the service for 10 working days + courier time for repair or replacement if they decide. Today the repair time was 7 working days... but as we all know, houses in areas with high humidity 1.5-2 weeks (7-10 working days) without a dehumidifier are a disaster.
I suggested/pleaded from October-November 2023 (C1 + C2 indications) to take it to the service myself by appointment whenever and at whatever time they want, but they did not accept as this is "the company's policy" (this happens in other dealerships... there is an understanding of the consumer's problem).
I tried to change for the better this "policy" of the company but I metaphorically hit "Chinese walls" between management/Decision Makers and employees (authority kick)... too hard to get in touch with the Decision Maker...
Therefore:
Purchase another dehumidifier (so we can go on a 3-4-day trip),
Purchase a Wi-Fi plug as the "good" dehumidifiers with integrated Wi-Fi are sold out (end of season)
You can judge whether the 5-year service and the "kindness" of the service employees determine the defective products,
And ultimately, if it is worth the WASTE OF TIME, with phone calls-hassle-time without the dehumidifier when you need it, for €50-€80 less for an inventor compared to other dealerships that offer better products and a more customer-oriented service mentality.
