Firstly, I would like to mention that if you want to wander around with a mobile phone and waste time on cringe social media for free, you should get a smartwatch in my opinion because you won't be using its "smart" function and it would be a waste of money.
What you need to switch to being phoneless:
- Buds (to talk without looking like James Bond)
- PowerBank because unfortunately the battery doesn't last,
- a mobile phone with eSim (because if the watch gets formatted and you don't have a backup, you will lose your SIM cards)
If you don't have a mobile phone with eSim, then you have to hide your phone in your bag and use Bluetooth with the watch.
Battery, I would say it depends, if you sacrifice some features of the watch for battery life and don't constantly mess with it, the battery will last just fine. With a powerbank, it can be fully charged within 40 minutes from around 10%.
Music, Pass, and Identity: Crop the QR Code on your phone with a little padding around it and import it through the Wear OS App. Download albums and you won't need to waste data to listen to Spotify. (Up to 16GB of space)
Edit: There is also an app called QR Code that you can scan with your phone and transfer it to the watch.
Issues:
I tried Spotify and the watch overheated after a few songs, when I closed all the background apps, the battery just drained quickly, for example, from 15% it would drop to 5% within 20 minutes or even less.
It may have eSim, but it doesn't allow you to use all your numbers simultaneously. Of course, it doesn't bother me as much since I have one card for calls and another for data. It won't bother you either if you don't have a second SIM. Luckily, you can still switch it while you're on the watch, you don't necessarily need a phone (Settings -> Connectivity -> Mobile Plans -> Data Plan).
Other than that, it's a very good entry watch for the phone-less change, and the higher price you pay compared to a cheaper competitor means that they won't sell your data to third-party companies.
In the future, we will see new watches that are far more efficient with more features, but until then, I will stick with this one!
