The stars I gave are completely fictional to start the drama! First, it is a cheap imitation of GT4, what I mean is that it doesn't have the volume of cars that 4 had (yes, I won't even discuss the graphics), second, you have to be online to play (who heard of putting in a CD to play a game and needing the internet), which makes the game inaccessible to many players due to network issues, so "polyphony digital," you're already losing money, third, you have to pay besides the purchase of €70 and inside the game to make progress, a major mistake by the company in a series that has nurtured young and old for years. Fourth, there is no car selling and generally the suspense of earning a little money to make an upgrade to gain 5 horsepower to win the race I was losing by a little, and I played for hours to save up! Fifth, fewer events, sixth, fewer tracks. Well, you don't sacrifice all the positives from 4 for graphics and terrain environment. Luckily, I borrowed it (PS5 console and GT7 game) for a month from a friend and didn't waste money! Honestly, after this, I can say as a fan of Gran Turismo since GT1 (August 1998, at 15 years old) until today at 41 years old, the game as a philosophy stopped with title No. 4 in June 2005, and I say again as a philosophy, as for graphics, it has gone up to today, but... what a pity, I hope if they release 8 they will do a remaster of 4 and just add the cars and tracks of today! Otherwise, after 4, I won't play any more games in this series! This is my opinion and perspective, I hope I helped!
Nice game BUT corrections need to be made
1. the annoying AI that will either be too easy at some point giving you rounds or will be terribly difficult to the point of driving you crazy
2. The single player tournaments aka Sunday cup etc. what suggested pp, come on Polyphony, I have a car with 780pp and you recommend 350pp, I won't get the slow one, I'll get the fast one and that's it
3. Fix the issue after the new update, we know you're doing your best etc. but I shouldn't have to struggle and waste hours in races where in the end the AI will just slap me in a turn and I'll lose 20-30 maybe more minutes of my time
I'm not writing more because all these things I'm saying can easily be found on YouTube
Very good game for anyone who wants to get into sim racing. I bought it along with a steering wheel and I have to say that I am not disappointed at all. On the contrary, it is exactly as I expected, perfect!
1 year later and with the updates it has received, it has become great, with improvements and changes that make the game more enjoyable. If you find it for under 30, it's worth it.
To start from the beginning, when Gran Turismo was first released, there was no game like it in the same category, and since then, car improvements began.
Gradually, over the years, it started to improve, but some were successful while others were failures and did not appeal to the public... Normal and logical.
Because I have heard a lot about Gran Turismo, and of course, it cannot be compared to other games because it is something unique and different from the others.
The game has a different philosophy from others in its genre.
Anyway, to not become tedious, now Gran Turismo 7 is the best thing that has been released worldwide.
As a fan of the game for 20 years now and having played all the versions on all the PS consoles except for the PS5, I have to say that it is the most disappointing in terms of design compared to what has been released so far. I never expected to regret buying Gran Turismo...
There is no discussion about the graphics and sound, but...
the gameplay of the game is so complex and I don't understand the reason.
You have to guess every move after, of course, obtaining the licenses. Especially for those who like modifications and customization, good luck... to change the color, wheels, or even your outfit, you have to spend hours... I mean, come on...
It's such a shame because from what I understand, it's now just all about frills and fragrances and it has lost its old glory.
The best driving simulator out there! Do yourself a favor and get it! No one will regret it! The game is perfect! I won't even start writing about graphics, sound, gameplay, story, etc....the word perfect that I mentioned earlier describes it fully.
A mediocre game... It lacks the glamour of the past, has very few cars, and I don't think it's worth having in your collection. It will sometimes frustrate you for no reason with its difficulty. It has also frozen several times.
Gran Turismo 7, like all Gran Turismo games, has a lot to offer the player! The single player game focuses on collecting cars, with a Pokémon-like philosophy - you want to catch them all! Each car has rich detail and the game bombards you with information about each car individually! The gameplay is standard and familiar, with no major changes, and the same goes for the sound. So, buying Gran Turismo 7 is not just buying a racing game, it's buying a virtual book with the history of cars and more! As for the multiplayer aspect, I have no opinion as I won't be dealing with it. That's my opinion on this particular game.
Nice outdoor game, unfortunately empty, boring and small. Too few cars than it should have. The worst of all is that the game is online-only, which means that when the game has an update or the server undergoes maintenance, you cannot play single-player.
It's a fantastic game no matter how you look at it, with a huge range of cars that have a massive circle of improvements (filters, brakes, etc.). At first, it's fully competitive as it limits you to the evaluation points of the car and necessarily requires "hands" to win the race. In any case, the game is fire and worth even the last euro of the existing price!
It's a shame... Gran Turismo 4 is far superior to this one. It's very lacking and has very few cars. I think it's the death knell of the Gran Turismo series. The decline started with GT SPORT and it has ended with this mediocre and poor game in the series.
Better than Sport, but not as good as they think. What do I mean? Well, as a first impression, we have the tuning that returned, I'm not saying it's a bad detail, maybe even the most basic, but what else do we have? The answer is: not much. It's sad that as time goes by, video games become more and more "empty". I'll make a quick comparison with Gran Turismo 5 (a game from 2010) to show you what I mean. Career with 4 difficulty levels is missing, Career as a driver coach is missing, Seasonal events that were perhaps the most interesting part of Gran Turismo are missing, Significant car models are missing, Gifting cars is missing... Also, with the latest updates, driving is quite strange and the driving behavior of the cars is not related to the cars. They have given excessive importance to online races and more specifically to gr.3 cars. In summary, is it better than Sport? Is it worth the change? Yes, it's better, but it doesn't come close to the older titles in the series, at least with the updates so far.
Perfect with very good graphics, you don't get bored quickly and it has countless options for tracks. Additionally, you feel the vibrations very strongly when you go off-road!!!
One of the best games I have ever played! The single player is excellent and it also gives you options to customize your cars with whatever you want, e.g., turbo suspensions, nitro, and a bunch of other things. There is a huge variety of car selection, even vintage cars. What impressed me is that it has excellent image and sound quality, and the handling of the cars is equally excellent. The ultimate flagship of GRAN TURISMO and all car games. It's worth the money. I highly recommend it!
The aura of the gt4 has been lost. Beyond the graphics and overall presentation of the game, the campaign is poor and predictable. There are no car buying and selling options, no excitement in choosing which car to use to win the race, no economy to manage in order to improve your car and come out on top. It's a shame...we were really looking forward to it
When it was released, it was comfortably a 3-4 star game (closer to 4), with a few issues here and there, such as the lack of offline play and problematic split screen. However, it had positives such as appearance, car collection, maps, visual & engine tuning, and okay online progression, and overall was a decent game. All of this changed when an update was released that allowed for unlocking new cars with in-game money (which you can't earn in races), and now you have to pay for them with REAL MONEY from the PS Store. They destroyed any progression that existed and made it Pay to Win. It's a shame for all the work of the employees who worked tirelessly to create the game, only for it to be destroyed for the sake of making more money. Wait for this situation with progression to be fixed before considering purchasing it.
No relation to the spirit of GT. I have been playing since the first GT came out, the term tuning has already started to disappear from the previous ones and has almost disappeared in 7. That joy you had when you bought a new part and the car gained 7 horsepower no longer exists.
Nothing new in relation to the previous one, all the fuss on the internet and television for nothing.
The game has become non-functional offline, which has completely changed its philosophy and essentially exists only to take your money.
Shame on the games that bear this name from 5 onwards...
In update 1.07/1.08, Sony and Polyphony decided to invest in microtransactions and cut profits from races, forcing players to use money in the PlayStation Store to unlock cars in the game. Note that the game is not functional (not even the single player) when the console is offline or when upgrades/repairs are made to the game's servers. I will change my review when the game is fixed so that microtransactions are not necessary for players to complete the game.
Starting from update 1.11, the single player mode begins to generate profits (new races have been added).
Until the last update in May 2023, several new cars, races, and engine swaps have been added. Now, I can say that the game has been taken care of and not abandoned. Races give enough credits, and overall, there is a lot of new content added with updates. If someone loves cars and racing, they should choose this game; it's worth it. It's recommended to play with a steering wheel (Logitech G29 or higher).
After several days of playing, I have formed my opinion on the game! It's the same platform as the previous Gran Turismo, but here it has minimal tuning which is rubbish! Expensive parts, etc. that you have to grind in the game to collect money or pay with your card! Now....how is it possible that all cars, whether turbo or naturally aspirated, sound the same....seriously....ok, it shoots flames on antilag and? Let's not talk about it too much....Need for Speed Underground 2 is not and will never be! Each car had its Genuine sound and changed with the upgrade...whether it was a pedestrian rally or an Evo 8! If Need for Speed Underground 2 comes out again, it will shut down their homes
Gran Turismo 7 is the continuation of the awesome game Gran Turismo 4, especially with the new tuning performance. For those disappointed with the variety of cars, be patient as there will be updates with additional cars and tracks. Even on the PS4, it looks impeccable, let alone on the PS5. Those who compare it to Forza are mistaken, as one is arcade and the other is a simulator. Gran Turismo 7 teaches you the love of cars and every detail about them, from how the car started to the last touch by the creator of a car company until today. Gran Turismo 7 is not for those who like Forza
I don't see anything new regarding tracks and cars compared to GT Sport. The sound is almost the same for all cars. I don't see any improvement in terms of consumables in relation to the last update of Sport in general!!!
Unacceptable. Giving 70 euros and even more to play multiplayer when Forza Horizon 5, which is clearly superior in all aspects, is provided for free to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers with free multiplayer. Perhaps Sony should reconsider many things if they want to have loyal fans. I will have to wait for the new Forza, which will also be offered for free. Congratulations to Microsoft for respecting and supporting its subscribers.
The motorized farewell ode to the PS4.
GT7 is coming to show what a complete game means in terms of motorsport. The most important thing is that it appeals to everyone.
The car range is huge and covers all tastes. More cars are expected to be added in the future (unknown if there will be extra cost).
There are enough tracks (could be more) and legendary GT tracks return, such as Trial Mountain for the more experienced.
The variety is great as there are races, licenses, missions, and music rallies depending on your mood. Theoretically, saturation comes slowly.
The game is aimed at everyone, beautifully guiding you through the campaign while notable historical references will introduce someone who is dealing with GT for the first time to the wonderful world of cars.
It is not absolute like Assetto Corsa Competizione (not even like Assetto Corsa) or iRacing, nor is it arcade like NFS. It is a simarcade title where if you remove aids, add a clutch and gearbox, then you will not be disappointed. The difficulty level in hard mode does not fully satisfy me (I do not know how the AI will adapt as written in the reviews), but there may be comfort due to involvement with ACC. The behavior of the cars varies, however, it is very adjustable. Without aids, I do not consider it possible to control with a controller, especially regarding input adjustment and trail braking.
The music is EPIC (as is the title) and accompanies amazingly, the graphics although PS4 are wonderful (imagine on PS5), the models and the world are well-crafted, while you can spend a whole afternoon taking photos of your favorite car in locations.
In addition, the automatic adjustment of the steering wheels with very good factory settings (G29), however, I have difficulty reading the TH8ARS gearbox correctly (perhaps it will be resolved in the future).
Also, car improvement is a pleasure even if it is expensive (if you want to do everything together). Complete: it includes mechanical and aerodynamic-optical packages while you can load ready-made layouts for appearance.
On the negative side, although it will become graphic, I consider it unthinkable to pay extra subscription to play online having already paid considerable amounts for purchasing titles. A large part of the game, multiplayer, is subject to this issue and personally, I have no opinion. From the intro, it appears that the familiar evaluation system exists that protects against malicious people ready to destroy your work.
A must-have title even for non-Petrolheads. It is worth buying and the time you will spend. If you are starting now, a wonderful journey awaits you and gradually, by removing aids, you will enjoy driving. If you are a sacred monument with experience, then you will catch yourself smiling and thinking about the summers where the PS2 with SCART on a cathode ray tube TV accompanied us with GT4.
In conclusion, GT7 is the GT4 of our days!
+Visual tuning
+Engine tuning
+Graphics.
-The story is somewhat hmm I don't know but it didn't impress me!
-On PS4 Pro, the loading times are exhausting.
The game is perfect and very realistic, it has also brought different features from the old Gran Turismo such as GT Auto, tuning, used cars and old tracks. I highly recommend it.
