Its shaft, as well as the rubber parts, can be removed for better cleaning (in my opinion, it's not necessary, because the construction is such that it cleans excellently under running water). Its dimensions are approximately 16cm in height (16cm at the back and about 14.5cm at the front where it has the notch, and the diameter of the cylindrical container is about 16cm). In my setup, it occupies about 1/3 of the usable preparation space.
