The lid is not removable, resulting in having to take out the case to put the eggs in from one side.
The water gauge it has is incorrect; I put water for 6 soft eggs and it gives me hard ones.
The plastic egg holder should have silicone on the edges so you can hold it while it's hot.

Excellent device and aesthetically pleasing for the kitchen counter. I haven't tried it only for soft-boiled eggs, because I don't prefer them, so I have no opinion. The sound is also soft and discreet, as I read that it is a problem for some other kettles. I prepare boiled eggs every day and this has made my life easier. You need to learn to put the right amount of water, but it is very user-friendly. You put in the eggs, add water, press the button, and walk away. With the sound, you open the lid and that's it. I wipe the moisture around with a paper towel and it is spotless without washing. I regretted my purchase from the very first use; the soft-boiled eggs I requested came out extremely hard, and also all the eggs overflowed + the device got dirty and needed to be rinsed under the tap! This is the third egg cooker I’ve bought, and by far the worst! I wonder why there are so many good reviews... I changed my rating from 1 star to 3 because you can't really guess how the eggs will turn out (the measuring cup is not accurate). Other than that, I wash it normally under the tap after each use as it shows rust color in the center, probably from the water! It does the job well, even so!

Simply place the eggs, fill the bottom with water, set the desired boiling level, and wait for the sound of the notification. In the first option, the eggs come out soft-boiled (to eat them in a glass), in the medium option they come out boiled with a slightly orange yolk in the center, and in the third option they come out fully boiled (note that the exact boiling level also depends on the size of the eggs). Personally, I adjust the switch slightly before the medium option and the eggs come out boiled with a slightly soft yolk. Overall, I highly recommend it if you frequently eat boiled eggs.

I bought this one even though it had no previous reviews for two reasons:
• another boiler from the same company had very good reviews.
• those boilers that had good reviews, mentioned the very annoying notification sound, something I wanted to avoid.This one, however, is fine, the main thing is that its notification sound is normal, like the sound a microwave oven makes, and you don't need to unplug it to stop it, you just turn the switch off.
The lid is not detachable, it just opens (falls backwards), but you can remove it to wash it.Of course, for its price, it does not include the base for poached eggs/omelette, which most of them have.
After each use, it leaves something like salts, obviously from the water, but I noticed that both the base and the transparent lid on top clean easily with a baby wipe.
