It was worth the extra cost for the USB ports - they were very convenient! And the flat cable was just what I needed for behind the chair.

I bought it a few months after it appeared on the market to have it next to my couch, and I have put a desk lamp, speakers in a USB port, my devices to charge, and anything else that needs to be plugged into the empty socket.
For what I wanted it for, it is excellent.
The only thing that has happened is that a few days ago, one of the ports stopped working and luckily I had a spare one and I replaced it because I know a few things and it is working again.

I have had it for 2 years and it charges (3A, 17W) all kinds of mobile phones (android, iPhone) and it provides very good and deep charges compared to generic chargers. The only negative, in quotes, is that the USB ports "open" and the plug goes in and out easily after prolonged use. The power strip is equally good, of safety, and it has helped me in my everyday life. The cable is fabric and well-insulated, giving the feeling that it will never break. Overall, the product evaluation is excellent.
